I was wondering whether people were still sending cards to PSA (especially from outside the US) with the whole COVID situation still at large. I don’t mind shipping other other cards, as they can always be insured, but the fact that the cards are worth so much more on the way back (after having been graded) makes it tough. If they’d be lost in the mail it would be dreadful to say the least.
What are people’s thoughts on all this? Am I just nitpicking here?
Not sure why people don’t register their package? You can ship a $25,000 insured registered mail package for $75 box in a large usps flat rate. It might take a little longer to get there but youre comfortable with that
With the bulk discount they are currently offering, it would be wise to capitalize on the lower cost especially if you don’t have a membership with PSA. However, as @pokemonunboxing mentioned, be prepared to wait a long time for your cards since PSA is facing a backlog and continued bulk submissions of Pokemon cards.
I had a bulk order in the mail two days before they shut the country down due to COVID. My package arrived at PSA and sat there for a few weeks until they opened again. My order has been received and is currently on the 3rd step. I’m from Canada and this delay was great because they offered the quarterly bulk deal to me. That saved me $200+ Canadian. Thank you PSA!
I plan on throwing a submission together as soon as I get home from a visit with family. I’m very patient so the long wait time is not a big deal to me.
I 100% agree, registered mail is the way to go. If anything ever happens to your package the insurance claim is faster/easier to go through and always gets paid out according to the clerk I asked.
