Sparkle holo is back. I’m so happy. Sparkle is probably one of my favorite holo patterns.

The set design is good. It looks like I can get excited about opening a box or too.
Designed like WOTC to DP when you had chase cards, but still got excited about the holos.
Since vmax climax and Vstar universe, I’ve hoped this would become a norm in the standard sets. I’m happy to see that is has.
SWSH had terrible set design. I wonder if peoples perception of the era will change as time goes on as a result.

SWSH made it clear that the fragmented English releases are inferior. I’m not sure why they don’t just match releases with JPN

Well at least this base set is looking to be better than Sword/Shield base set. Not bad. Almost makes me want to buy the set.

As a Sowsow and Saya Tsuruta collector…I had the exact same thought.

@zork @shiningpokemonsnap Other base sets I don’t believe have translated poorly and I actually love a good deal of them, but they are usually just basic showing off the new mons and main legends and such. These sets just return so much or remove unwanted designs on top of the insane art quality which really send it above.

Why is gyarados wearing a crown? You know what, I don’t care, it’s awesome.
You clearly haven’t played the new games. Its the new gimmick of Gen 9, Terastalizing. Changed the Pokemon’s type and gives them a little hat to show the type.
