Literally created an account on here after I listed. Couldnāt believe the commotion I caused. But anyways, very solid card. Might be a price correction short term but in a couple of years I could see it double in price easily. Probably shouldāve held on to it. Nice to meet everyone, if you guys ever see my stuff on eBay feel free to message me on here for private sale.
I think youāre right. I think that in two years people will have wished that they got it at this price of 2-3k.
I bought a 1st ed psa 10 Blaineās Charizard in December of 2019 for 770 usd. That card is now worth 1.6k minimum as the last one sold for 1.9k at pwcc auction.
Growth sometimes takes a long time. But as more people get into the hobby and more people build wealth later in their careers, these prices will increase exponentially
lol wow you really just put this in to perspective for me. T17 in a 9 has really managed to outhype a few 1st edition wotc gem mint holo charizards and almost be on par with LC reverse charizard and skyridge crystal zard. Absolute madness
274 psa 10 copies of that 1st ed Blaines zard. Thatās more than the 9 and 10 copies combined for t 17. When something is rare, and thereās short supply, the demand of the people who want it will push up the price
I would consider 10x the very upper end of normal and 3x the very lower end of normal. So yes that can fit in those parameters. It really only takes a couple of people who want the card to drive the price up. Weāll see
@chavycat LC reverse zard PSA 10 just auctioned for 2650 and is up for 3k OBO. T17 just sold for $2k and is up for $4k OBO(and who knows, maybe itāll sell again at a record price of $2.5k or something.)
Iām just saying that although the card is hype worthy, itās a little funny that itās getting to the price of one of the highest demand/lower pop(70s) wotc zards. I personally think itāll drop down and settle around the 1000s within a year opposed to people in a year looking back and regretting not scooping this up for $2-3k. Thereās just too many iconic gem mint options that are in that $1-3k range that have similar pop counts to this card as a 9, and I really think itās gonna be hard for buyers to justify coughing up $3k+ for a typhlosion set card that isnāt even in the best obtainable PSA grade
If this leads to a price boost to other wotc gem holos though then I am all for it lol
Again, a true 10 would go for a very large amount, I personally havenāt seen a 10 without whitening, print lines or centering issues and many have that nasty red ink blotch as well!
Iām actually not sure a deserving 10 really exists!
