Hmmm, I did it somehow. Its hard to remember,…but how did my mew and blastoise from red come all the way? As for mew, some kid traded it to me at a wizards of coast pokemon league.
About to check all my older games.
My silver died, but the rest of those pokemon are safely stored on N64 collesium.
Could you do with some sort of game hacking device? action replay, game genie, etc - some of my friends had that.
Perhaps? I just know that they weren’t backward console compatible. It was one of the major disappointments I had with the game–granted a lot of people were disappointed in it. You couldn’t even trade via Colosseum when it came out. The only way to get your Pokemon there was wait for the later games, trade there, and then trade back to Ruby or Sapphire.

I made a mistake it seems, it happens (but with me and pokemon - very rarely!). My red OT is ASH and it …didn’t have a ID number! I forgot. My blastoise and mew originals must be on colleseum.

It happens. I call myself a Gyarados collector and already by being around here for over a month, I’ve discovered about 4 Gyarados-related TCG cards that I didn’t know even existed!
At least you didn’t make the mistake that a friend of mine made years ago when he bet me 10 bucks that Hitmonlee evolved into Hitmonchan.
Bought two packs with his money the next day!

If you want to cheat or just get any pokemon you want in the ds games, you can use this app called pokemon creator and customize all its stats. I did this to play through bw2 with the kanto starters 
Good idea to recreate the old, seems to work for superhero movies. Plus you don’t have to come up with crazy Pokemon or silly Mega’s.
Guarantee there will be new Megas released with ORAS. Gen 3 stuff that didn’t get them in X/Y

So, does it mention in your pokedex that you can get your metagross to become mega. Or is there any other way that it would somehow be something you actually want in the game. Something that gets recorded as an achievement As it is: gotta catch them all.
After a minor leak last night, the main CoroCoro flood has begun, revealing Mega Altaria, Mega Lopunny, and Mega Salamence!
Mega Altaria is Dragon / Fairy and has Pixilate. Its Attack gets a boost. It’s the exact same weight as before, but taller (1.5m vs. 1.1m).
Mega Lopunny is Normal / Fighting and has Scrappy. Its Attack and Special Attack are improved. It’s slightly taller and much lighter than before (Mega: 1.3m / 28.3 kg, Normal: 1.2m / 33.3 kg).
Mega Salamence is Dragon / Flying and has Aerilate. Its Defense gets a boost. It’s taller and a little heavier than before (Mega: 1.8m / 112.6 kg, Normal: 1.5m / 102.6 kg).
Details can’t be seen right now, but players can get a shiny Beldum with its Mega Stone via an event when the games come out.
A new character, Lucia, is a Contest Idol and gives you clothes that you can wear for Pokemon Contests. She owns an Altaria.
Pikachu gets special Pokemon Contest moves when you dress it up. Pikachu Rock Star gets Meteor Mash, Pikachu PhD gets Electric Terrain, Pikachu Pop Star gets Draining Kiss, Pikachu Belle gets Icicle Crash, and Pikachu Libre gets Flying Press.

@aj1 - You don’t get an indication of Mega in the Pokedex, but if you like completing things and collecting items then there is some achievement in collecting all the Mega Stones that are needed to Megavolve your Pokemon in battle.

Yeah I didn’t think it could get less enthusiastic about a Mega than Mega Manectric, but here we are.
