"Rare Pokemon Card Worth 20K"

I think everything that has been said is valid. I do still believe that the high end cards will always have that “mystique” to them since the numbers are so limited that it automatically creatures a high demand. The Illustrator is a perfect example of this. It is a card that more people have knowledge about now but trying to obtain it is just as impossible as it was before people had knowledge about the card.

Basically if you have 100,000 aware of a 3 copy card it will have more demand than having 10,000 aware of something with 3 copies. I think regardless of demand those higher end card still hold their luster since most people can’t own them.

I agree with both sides. :3 I knew about the existance of Illustrator for a very, very long time. However, I was unaware as to how it was originally obtained, only that it was a prize for an art contest in CoroCoro. Ahahaha.

So yeah. ^^; I’d love to have my own collection featured sometime, due to its history.

smpratte, I found a collection to rival yours.

Ebay user ebirdman (profile myworld.ebay.com/ebirdman/) has a ton of rare English and Japanese Promo cards, including his very own Pikachu Illustrator card, which he put up on Ebay for a Buy It Now of I think $100,000.
But yeah, check out his cards for sale - they’re amazing.

Well I’d take Scott’s collection by a mile  ebirdman is predominantly a seller I would say rather than a collector.

Also ebirdman sold the illustrator did he not?

He never had one. He listed that without owning it.

Hmmm :\ interesting. Shitty way to advertise but who am I to judge. He’s very nice don’t get me wrong.

Yes he is nice but he never actually had the card. It is the one I own. There has not been another for sale in years. Literally the same one changed hands multiple times over the past 3 years.

I respect Ebirdman a lot. An amazing person to get to know, that guy is.

He is a nice guy. He is purely a seller, not a collector. But he has a massive selection in his store!

He is a great guy to talk to and get to know! He can be up in the stars as far as some of his valuations go but it has to be all about the bottom line for a seller like that. I’m sure he makes good money.

ebirdman is a great guy. A while back I was messaging him because I was amazed at his collection, and I was asking how he got all of his stuff and if he could help me out with some stuff and he was really nice about it all and actually referred me to another seller, which I ended up getting some good deals from.

Illustrator gets another mention on (shitty) front page news lol

Also apparently some girl has over 14,000+ Pokemon items (Guiness World Record). Sometimes I think we’re all nuts for collecting the cards but imagine collecting it all!!! I wonder if she has cards in that collection.

I saw that article as well, it was horribly written.

That article is awfully written. They aren’t edible. That person obviously hasn’t watched the shows.

So if I get 13,000+ Pokemon cards, do I break her record for having the most Pokemon items?
