Quuador's Collection - Pikachu V-Union filler and XY Evo Square Cut

After someone on IG asked me about the Seviper in the picture of the Thai cards, I realized I hadn’t posted my Seviper collection on IG before yet. So I’ve done just that, but figured I’d share the same pictures here as well.

Since there are 22 pictures, I’ll just share the album instead: imgur.com/a/fmT9eHh

Some special cards:

  • Masakazu Fukuda signed English Great Encounters Seviper
  • Off-centered English Burning Shadows RH Seviper
  • All three English Shiny Seviper variations: regular, texture misprint, glossy misprint
  • Sealed English prerelease SM46 Seviper with crimp

The two missing Indonesian Seviper cards are at my middleman right now, so those will be added soon.

So all that’s missing is the Japanese unlimited edition World Champions Pack Seviper to 100% complete it. Any leads to this card that’s currently at the top of my wish list would be greatly appreciated, and I will pay any tip that leads to a successful purchase.

PS: I’ve tried to contact Bill Rogers (aka Bill’s Voice) on Instagram and Facebook, who is the voice actor of Seviper (and Brock after season 3) in the English anime. But no responses thus far unfortunately. :slightly_frowning_face: If anyone knows Bill, or knows of a better way to get in touch with him, please lmk.

Oh, and ignore the three played French cards. I plan on replacing them with EX/NM copies when I can find them.

Amazing collection and binder display! What makes Seviper one of your favourite Pokemon?

Seviper has had some really cool artwork over the years. I’ve always loved the art in Double Crisis so Team Aqua’s Kyogre EX has gotta be one of my favourites. I really like the EX Emerald artwork too.

One day I hope my Rotom collection looks like this!

Thanks! As for why it’s my favorite: snake are my favorite animals, and I just love the design of Seviper. I like the other snake Pokémon as well (Ekans, Arbok, Serperior, Milotic, Sillicobra, Sandaconda), but Seviper is definitely my favorite.

Yeah, the Team Aqua’s Kyogre EX and Team Magma’s Groudon EX are both amazing artworks. I’m glad it contains a Seviper, although I also have both part of my FA Supporter collection.

Good luck with the Rotoms! Just keep at it, and I’m sure you’ll eventually be able to have a similar collection.
I hope to one day (soon) find the last missing card to 100% complete the collection.
I have a bunch of sub-collections: Pikachu; Seviper; Moltres WotC #21 promo; FA Supporter; National Index including form and shiny Pokémon; Yu-Gi-Oh rarities; Ancient Mew in PSA-10. But only the FA Supporter collection and Ancient Mew collections are complete (or actually, the last cards are at PSA, so until I have them back in my hand they aren’t really complete yet). But with all those other collections I’m only missing one or two cards to complete it. Seviper this one card; Moltres the two Japanese sealed Pokémon Web Booster packs; Yu-Gi-Oh a single TCG rarity that’s exclusively used for 2015+ trophy cards, and a bunch of misprinted rarities; and the National Index collection I’m only missing generation 8, but I will add those somewhere next year when there are more cards to choose from per Pokémon.

I hope to complete most of these collections in the near future (especially Seviper), so I can then 100% focus on Pikachu cards, and keeping up with new releases for the other collections.

My cards came back from Ludkins Collectables today. Very happy with the grades.

First of all the three Extra Battle Day promos, which all received a PSA-10. As well as the Alola Friends promo, which received a PSA-9 (due to top-to-bottom centering):

I had pre-graded the Acerola as a strong 9 personally, so I’m definitely happy with the weak 10 to have the full trio as a PSA-10.

I’ve also graded five of the ©2019 Ancient Mew promos, which all five came back as a 10. I now have all five Ancient Mew versions as PSA-10, so happy to complete this miniset as well (here a picture of the other four).

And finally I have my first graded Yu-Gi-Oh card, which is my favorite (non-misprinted) card. The DBLE-JPS04 Starving Venom Fusion Dragon (an OCG Extra Secret Parallel Rare). The PSA-4 Moltres is the one I received at cinemas as a kid, which I graded for nostalgia sake.

Overall a nice return, after sending them in roughly 6 months ago.

My sealed Moltres with Game Boy Color insert arrived today from the opposite of the planet (Australia). Awesome to finally have this sealed variation in my hands for my Moltres collection, after searching for it for over 2.5 years.

In addition, another extended/altered Pikachu arrived today from France. This one is made by enilwe.pokecards of Instagram. I like the rough style she has with her artworks, and she also added a Pikachu doodle on a thank you card.

Another extended/altered Base Pikachu arrived while I was on vacation to London. This one is made by LostGhostFlower from Etsy.com (and she also has an Instagram by the same name). I like the twilight sky she added, as well as the trees. She also included two stickers, which can be seen in the second picture.

Just picked up two packages at the post office, and they both together form a massive mail day for this update! One was from my US middleman, and the other from Noppin, my Yahoo Japan middleman service.

Let me start with the three largest highlights. First is my seventh Art Academy Pikachu, which is an extra copy I bought from CollectorsCache on eBay. ‘Just’ five more to go to have the full set of twelve.

Next are two of the rarest misprinted Yu-Gi-Oh rarities. The Cyberse Wizard is a Prismatic Super Rare. Only COTD Super Rares were very shortly printed with Prismatic foil. There are also Prismatic Ultra Rares, which were misprinted in both the BLLR and COTD sets.
The one next to it is a Japanese Holographic Rare (aka Ghost Rare), but misprinted with a Duel Terminal layer.

Next we have some smaller arrivals in these same two packages.
First a crimped Japanese card (which doesn’t happen to often), which is the 097/XY-P Pikachu promo. Next to it is just a regular Pikachu, but one that was pretty tough to find: the French McDonald’s 2019 Pikachu that was only released in the French-speaking regions of Canada. And the third is a fifth color variation of the XY Evolutions Pikachu, which was misprinted on some of the Reverse Holo copies.

Next some more Yu-Gi-Oh misprints for my rarity collection. First both a Secret and Super Rare where a diagonal part is non-Holo (and missing colors). This misprint only occurred in the WSUP set. And the bottom two are two new No Name No Imprint variations for my collection, a US Secret Rare and a Speed Duel Super/Ultra Rare.

I also decided to start buying non-TCG cards and stickers for Seviper for my collection. Although I already had a bunch of these, most of them arrived in the Noppin box as well. I might later start a new thread when I’m going to try and determine the producer/brand of each of these, although a few of them I do know, like some of the Topps Advanced and Topsun cards.

Also, as you can see in the bottom-left, I’ve also been able to find a second unlimited edition Battle Frontier card. So I will PM you in a bit about that one @dizzylochs , since it will be yours.

I had also decided to buy the books of the Yu-Gi-Oh Monster Art Box. The two smaller books contains sketches for some artworks from the illustrators. And the thickest third book contains every single Japanese card artwork ever printed, starting at 1999 all the way through 2019. It’s kinda like the Pokémon Silver Bible, but then for Yu-Gi-Oh and for the past 10 years.

Apart from that also a bunch of smaller cards have arrived, but those are not really worth mentioning. Overall a very nice update!

Congrats on so many great items man. I love seeing the YGO errors, I really need to keep a closer watch on that rarities post of yours. Also that art book is such a good idea, espesh as YGO has some insane art.

Amazing on the Battle Frontier, can’t believe another has come up so quick. Look forward to hearing from ya

The following signed card arrived today. It’s signed by Jason Paige, the singer of the English Pokémon Anime Intro of the first season. I bought this from his own website, which was mentioned on the forum last week (thanks @kaldoverde).

Great collection additions! I think it’s great that Jason Paige is offering this as a service during this crazy time.

Also like that you’re really into Yugioh as well. They have some of the most fantastic misprints out of all of the TCG’s. So many holo variants as well. What’s been your focus with Yugioh recently?

For Yu-Gi-Oh I only collect one of each rarity, including TCG, OCG, Korean exclusives, and misprints. So that has been my entire focus. But now that I have some of these rare misprints, my focus is mostly to keep up with new rarities. Overall not too difficult, except for the latest new TCG 10,000 Secret Rare for example, which unfortunately is worth 1k USD and has a very low pull rate (I’ve seen someone open up 1.5 case of booster boxes without getting a single one for example).

Apart from that I mainly focus on adding some more No Name No Imprint rarity variations when I can find them, and I’m low-key looking for the German SOI Chain misprints and Ultimate Rare versions with missing foil.

The latest Darkness Ablaze cards arrived a few days ago and my PSA submission with the Extra Battle Day promos and Alolan Friend arrived last month, so now my entire Full Art Supporter collection is complete and in one place again.

NOTE: I am still missing the three Japanese FA Supporters from the latest Japanese Legendary Heartbeat set, as well as the thirteen from the Japanese Tag All Stars set, but I’m assuming those will release in English at one point.

And yes, I have included some non FA Supporter cards in it, like the Rotom Dex; Team Aqua’s Kyogre/Team Magma’s Groudon; the Pokémon + Trainer and Character Rares from Cosmic Eclipse; etc.

Part one with the first eight pages can be found here in a previous post.

And here are the next ten pages and Japanese exclusive cards:

Well, time for another beautiful extended/altered Base Set Pikachu. This one is made by nh_art_planet of Instagram. I like how the top part with the trees seems to be a very realistic style of painting and the bottom part with the leaves and log a very cartoonish style.

Oh, and I just counted, but apparently I have 77 of these altered/extended Base Set Pikachu cards right now (plus three more for non-Base Pikachu cards). Still have a bunch more incoming (as always…), but I’ll definitely make an album of pictures once I’ve reached 100, or maybe a bit sooner, since I also plan on taking pictures of my entire collection around the end of this year probably.

Congratz on the FA supporter collection! It looks beautiful! I’ve been holding off on finishing mine for stuff to rotate, so it’s nice to see it all in one place!

I love that Pikachu as well! I forgot those cards existed for a short while, so thanks for the reminder! They are really nice artworks. I recall the Alolan Vulpix being a very pretty card to get painted.

I was able to find the Italian HGSS Copycat text misprint, so now my trio (German, French, and Italian) is completed. Such a weird and unique misprint:
