PWCC Vault

this might move the market? i mean, now everyone can keep their inventory listed on ebay…we might see a spectacular increase in listings like we’ve never seen before

there should be implications for the market here imo and we might see a lot of rare cards appear for sale as they use the vault listing tool in the coming months…sense of availability might change etc.

Probably will just be like we have now, people listing stuff really high with best offers

Yep I agree. But it should provide a push for some people that felt like selling but was too lazy to, to finally send to pwcc / sell now

It’s abit like the stock market. You don’t need to buy and sell, but when you list it and keep getting offers everyday…it incentivizes action

The fact that pwcc is providing free storage forever makes me me think that they’ve run the math and calculated that a lot of people simply won’t store it forever, a significant portion will likely end up selling and then they’ll get the selling fee plus the new archival fee

Ultimately pwcc makes the most fees from action rather than inaction and this seems to be their strategy of building a more liquid / flipper like market and im not sure for better or worse, but its exciting

I’m interested in sending in some cards for this, I have a bunch I was actually thinking of sending in anyway that I just haven’t gotten around to yet. With this offer, I can’t help but feel a little alarm bell in the back of my head. Seems almost too good to be true that I can send them as many cards as I want with no fees forever.

It will be interesting to see where they’re going with this, but it makes me nervous. If you’re getting it for free, you probably are the product.

Am I just being paranoid?

I agree it sounds to good to be true but who knows if their vault has 10-20x the capacity it has now and its always been under utilised?

Also they still make money on the buying and selling of cards dont they? therefore they are taking cards off Ebay/Private sales and into their own hands to make their cut.

Question - Does anyone know that if i purchase cards off todays auction block from PWCC - how i activate this offer? Obviously i put the delivery address as my vault address but this deal keeps referring to a submission form on their website…do you buy the cards of PWCC, wait for an invoice then fill in the submission form with the offer separately?

trying to understand how to link this deal to my potential purchases today.

Thanks!

New to the pwcc vault here. It says there is “ No fulfillment charges on items sold through a PWCC Marketplace (a fulfillment charge of only 0.25% is applied otherwise)”

Does this mean there are no selling fees too?

I’d like to know as well about tonight’s block!

Thanks for mentioning this promo they’re having. Looks like I’ll be sending my promo set. And yeah I don’t plan to sell it but I’m definitely going to place a few of them for sale through PWCC at ridiculous prices and if someone buys then lucky me otherwise they’re just safe in the vault. I do wonder how their capacity in the vault is doing and how close they are to needing another vault.

There are selling fees

Correct, outlined in the bottom half of this page: www.pwccmarketplace.com/vault-pricing

This seems crazy and the amount of time to act on it crazy as well… might have to drive a uhaul out there later next month.

Will be interesting to follow this thread and people’s experiences.

I’m thrilled with the promo, I’d sent in a submission a couple weeks ago and it arrived yesterday. I’d sent in the last of my PC as I didn’t want to keep that much money at home uninsured so this has been a pleasant development to say the least. It’ll also make it infinitely easier to sell as I’m a huge fan of having PWCC handle all the shipping and buyer nonsense that might happen. I’d imagine they’re going to get even more flooded with this promo happening so I’m excited to see what people submit/list. Might make the vault feel like more of a museum in a sense if a ton of high value items appear out of the woodwork.

How do PWCC payout when you sell items from the vault? Bank or PayPal? Cannot seem to find that information on the FAQ page.

You can setup ACH

ACH transfer (no fee, US only)
Wire transfer ($25 processing fee)

Can you do partial transfers out? As in you sell something, get $20k after fees, but only want to do an ACH transfer of $10k and leave $10k in the vault?

Yes. You select how much you want to cash out from the marketplace account

If they allowed cards to be picked up by appointment or something then I’d definitely use this.

As a international buyer, I’d accumulate quite a few cards there and make a international trip every few years for a holiday and also pick them up, win win

Hi all -

Just wondering if anyone has submitted to PWCC Vault from outside the US? I’m looking to send a few cards from the UK but am concerned I will be stung with a huge customs charge (passed on from PWCC). I know there’s technically no change in ownership of the cards but the customs declaration will include a value and I believe they will calculate a charge based on that.

Apologies if this has been covered elsewhere!

US has no custom charge so you’re fine.
