The vault says it has 107,297 cards in it. Will be interesting to see how many they have by the time this is over.

I hope their vault has enough physical space for the hundreds of thousands of $50 cards people are going to send in lol

I was thinking about how this will benefit them if they charge nothing. Then I realized that it will bring thousands of additional cards to within a finger click away from selling through the vault marketplace or PWCC auction, which may not have otherwise passed through them. They’d still get the selling fee. Probably a really smart move. Not to mention many new customers who will vault future cards.

Definitely feels calculated on their end to this effect. But this is what I call a mutually beneficial situation.

They have been a bit slow to curate things lately, this is going to make it even slower lol
Can I get my cards in the vault sent back to me, then resend then so I don’t have to pay monthly insurance? LOL!
But yeah this is a good deal especially if you are in a small apartment with no space for graded cards.

This is in prep for them to launch their own auction platform? Or to beef up their Marketplace even more to compete against eBay fixed listings?

The timing of this is unreal. I just had a 20k package delivered to them today and I guess it’s free now.
The benefit to them is obvious.1) encourage people to try the vault and increase the number of users in the long-term2) people are probably far more likely to sell from the vault (thus earning them commission) vs actually withdrawing their cards
The vault cost $4million to build. With 107k cards their cost is effectively $37.20 per card. They are probably way under capacity. In the long term this is an extremely smart move.

I can’t think of a reason not to just send every card over $50 that you have to them.
I wonder if they will regret using the word unlimited hehe
I asked Robby if they would grandfather my cards I sent to the vault (just curated today but received on the 18th) and that was a “no” lol
This includes all fees? So cards are fully insured forever?

Im sceptical of the ongoing fees being free too, but they have worded it like this
“Members may create 3 free Vault submissions. All items sent using promo code 3FREE will be 100% free. Forever.”
Why would they add the forever there if only the intake fees are free?
Also the “fulfillment” charge. It’s a vague word. So 0.25% to withdraw a card is what I assume.
Basically need to fully understand the terms before sending. PWCC does not have the best in class insurance rates over a certain level.
Would not be good to make a large commitment then get dinged on an extra fee.
I do like the free Vault marketplace listing. Send all your cards and list for free on eBay…

Havent used them before, how do they catalogue when you send in? Is it ordered a certain way or do they group by set?

Do they store Booster Boxes?

Yeah they store sealed product either way, but we are trying to find out if the 3free discount applies. The announcement page seems to indicate only graded cards.

Yep, its nuts. Im gathering all the graded cards I have lying around and sending them in on a single submission. Then once I know we can send booster boxes, Ill send those too.
Nuts
Totally would have expected them to have a 100 card maximum
