Hey guys, I was curious about when the “grades ready” phase would be reached in relation to my estimated completion date of may 29. I have heard that it takes a day to reach the “completing” phase once assembly is done, so i believe that i should see my grades today, but i wanted to confirm with somebody more knowledgeable on the grading process. Thanks
Welcome to the forum! The estimated completion date is just the turnaround time of your service level added to the date when your cards are registered. It isn’t fluid and probably exists just to keep people from bothering PSA about when their order will be done, as the turnaround time is both in business days and only starts when the package is entered, not when it arrives.
In my experience and what I’ve heard from others, the estimated completion date is not accurate at determining when you will get your cards back. Could be sooner, could be later. With PSA backed up right now, I would expect many of the estimated completion dates for packages submitted earlier in the year to pass without the order being completed or even grades being ready.
Tl;dr don’t expect grades today if the estimated completion date is tomorrow.
What stage is your order in now? If it’s into assembly then maybe it’ll just be a few more days, but if it’s still in grading or research and ID it will likely be longer.

It’s been in green checkmark assembly for a few days, so probably just a few more like you mentioned. Thanks for the help though!

Great, usually once my orders get there it’s a matter of days until I get the grades. Good luck on the submission!
