PSA Estimated Waiting Times Confusion

Hi Team,

Two clarifying questions:

  1. PSA says there is a 9-10 week delay of when your submission enters processing. Is that including the expedited timeline if you pay the higher fee?

or

  1. There are other examples I’ve read in threads (https://efour.proboards.com/thread/21962/express-current-timeframe-quick-check) that share people who have experienced quicker turn arounds. When you successfully got your cards back in the expedited time window, did you see similar language displayed when you completed your form?

Just sent in a small 8 card Reguar($50) submission. Arrived 11/4, Entered 11/9. Moved to Grading on 11/12

Your turnaround time clock doesn’t start ticking until they open your box and process your order.

For instance, my cards arrived at their facility on 5/20. The clock isn’t ticking yet. They opened my box and started processing on June I think 27th. That’s when the turnaround starts ticking. The delay was between 5/20 and 6/27. Does not count as any time of the estimated turnaround time.

They weigh processing for the more expensive services first.

Im under the safe assumption as @kinggr ,!
On a side note, does PSA let you drop of orders if you are near their office?
