PSA Delay- Updated

My 80 card order was received June 18 and just got mine back a couple days ago. I broke down and finally called psa last week and they seemed surprised that it had went that far over the estimated time and they would put it on a rush. I hope that this wasn’t one of the reasons half of my psa cases arrived scuffed the hell up, especially several being right in the holo section. Pretty disappointing that a grading company cares about the condition of the card but not the case that showcases the condition. My psa 10s look like 5s in these cases. This will be the second order I’ve had several cards arrived damaged. I think psa has resorted to child labor or hiring the blind.

My last submission was received June 19th, and shipped September 4th. It was a Bulk-3 order

There is no such thing as a rush being put on an order once it’s in bulk queue. You said, “This will be the second order I’ve had several cards arrived damaged.” Can you elaborate on this? What cards and in what way were they damaged?

I finally called them today too after being about 18 business days overdue. The rep I had looked at the order and said their policy is that if it’s over 12 business days he can “push it to operations” (I think were his words) to ensure the order gets finished asap. Although he finished with “your order should be finished sometime next week”… If an order is going 2-3 weeks overdue, a courtesy email stating that they’re backed up and are working on the order or even a few vouchers to go with that would go a long way. I hope mine don’t arrive like this as well.

Hmm I think everyone on here is at least 12 biz days overdue. Strange never heard them “pushing” anything before.

Just updating that my order was shipped today finally. Hopefully everyone elses order follows. I didnt end up contacting them or anything

I can confirm what a few members have described here. I’ve had several of my bulk psa submissions be put on rush and done within a week after I contact them on it being overdue.

Here is part of an email from them:

I have noticed that Order # 21368060 is on day 54 of the estimated 45-business day turnaround. I contacted the Operations Manager to have them expedite this order and I believe it could be finished later this week.

Thank you for your patience,

“I can confirm what a few members have described here”.
You can also say you have a prerelease raichu in your socks. That doesn’t make it true.

These type of statements by the totally unknowing don’t belong here on E4. Maybe for the kids on Reddit or Facebook or ig where the truth doesn’t matter and the members or visitors are naive, but not here.

If your order is two weeks late and your one of the HUNDRED calls a day every rep receives and they say they will look into it and it’ll be about a week…then it comes in a week…it had nothing to do with your phone call. We are a professional site which doesn’t like to deal in rumors or innuendos.

This is for any new people reading this thread:
Sometimes your orders will be late. Sometimes your orders will be early. Sometimes a 60 day order arrives in 10. DONT SWEAT IT. It’ll arrive on the exact same day as it would if you called them daily for a month.
Now the number of days it’s taking is a nice thing to share. It can be an indication of what might happen in the future. Feel free to use this info as a guide. Just realize, once you mail the order in it’s out of your hands both actually and figuratively.

And I have a bridge I can sell you;)

I’m showing you an email from the person I contact at psa that is telling me ‘I contacted the Operations Manager to have them expedite this order’ . At this point believe what you want lol.
Could be a coincidence sure but I doubt psa is sending emails saying they’re prioritizing an order when they’re not.

I didn’t say you didn’t call them or they didn’t reply with that message. They nearly always do. I’m saying your call accomplished nothing and their reply meant nothing.
Hundreds of calls and messages come in daily requesting turnaround time info. Heck, right now there are dozens of orders delayed just from us on e4. Now add on the THOUSANDS more outside of e4.
I just wish everyone would leave the phone in their pocket so Customer Service could handle the urgent problems that arise. If I email or call them about a card crimped in a case I don’t want to wait a month for resolution because they’re too tied up with nonsense. Me and several others here are trying to accomplish improvements (ie: 9tales error designation) at PSA but they’re too busy handling hundreds of late calls.

Everyone is delayed, they just had a Pokémon special. Relax.

This isn’t life-saving medicine being brought to you by a half-wolf in the Alaskan tundra.

It’s an estimated time. You are not going to die if your cards are a month late. Calling won’t do anything. Everyone is delayed.

Maybe they should stop lying about this expediting process then if it doesn’t exist? If they say it then it only reinforces the whole calling in when the order goes late thing. Stop reinforcing it and it will go away or lessen.

I’m not sure why you are so harsh about people just relaying the information they’ve gotten directly from reps at PSA and having some expectation of getting their cards back roughly in the estimated timeframe they paid for. I mean I get your issue with the whole impatience thing but this is another thing where you are scolding people for being “totally unknowing” when they are literally quoting PSA reps.

I’m just trying to give them the honest truth and make sure new people don’t go by bad info. The totally unknowing weren’t necessarily that guy but there were several other people.
I guess I could just let them learn on their own but that wouldn’t help them.

This. If my order is 3-4 weeks overdue then you better believe i’m going to be calling just to see what’s going on or what can be done. They also told me they’re going to forward it to operations to make sure it gets done asap. Now, whether that actually does anything or not I could care less, because at the end of the day I really won’t know if it helped. But i’d rather try and do something about my problem instead of sitting around and hoping it works itself out. That’s just something I carry with me in life, as should anyone. PSA is a big boy company with many employees, i’m sure they can handle a few customer service calls as well as fixing the “ninetales error designation” problem.

@mistercrunch I hope they finish your order soon.

I will as soon as they get to me… however they are now held at international imports in the UK as there require more information about the package?

I have contacted FedEx (who I have a huge mistrust of on the best of days) and forwarded all info about the package and delivery notices from me to PSA to their customs team so hopefully this doesn’t take any longer.

You would think PSA will have ironed out a problem like this a long time ago right? Or am I missing something here?

Any other international or UK based PSA customers have this problem before?

hey guys, how quickly does it usually take psa after they have received your order in the mail to actually add it to their system? They received my first ever order on the 21st so I’m just trying to figure out what a reasonable time frame is before they even start grading. Thank you for any help!

Could be anytime up to a couple weeks. Hopefully yours gets done soon:)

My last one arrived on 9/4. Did not get in the system until 9/25. Was a 30 Day submission.
