Price check on psa 9 no rarity charizard

Honestly; it probably does offend my ancestors, my grandmother is one of the most hard core christians you’ll ever meet and I care for her dearly. With that said no shame felt for how I view life.

Just woke up and started reading this…I feel like I’m still sleeping and in a weird dream documentary about charizards and chimpanzees and how they learn to live together and everything is narrated by @pokemonsyndicate

getting back onto topic of the no rarity i consider them errors rather than 1st edition Japanese abit like no jungle symbol i do consider it a sperate set which i will be going for soon

Why do I get the feeling that the omission of that stamp wasn’t an oversight or mistake?

Those are female baboons i believe in estrous, the male apes find this “sexy” lol.

the weight and height variations is what makes it strange. as they changed that back on a few of them.

the tingz we shall never understanddddddddddddddddddddddddeeeeeeeerrb

Yeah, no. Let me correct you there.

NR Charizard qualities:
-Release Date
-Japanese
-Gold Border
-Unique Old Back
-Holo Pattern
-Missing rarity
-Different Height
-Different Weight
-Less Population (more rare)

Not “just a dot”

Let’s say there was an English illustrator that came out two years after the Japanese one. Would that lower the value of the Japanese one? Probably not

I understand people love the 1st Edition English zard (as do I) but it’s because of how much it’s been hyped up. People hardly even know No Rarities exist. It’s a proto card, that alone is good enough for me to classify it as the Holy Grail of Charizards.

The context about missing a rarity symbol was comparing NR to the standard Japanese base set, not English.

That’s fine I’m comparing it to English.

?

This is what I should’ve multi quoted but I didn’t because, I didn’t feel like it.

My point is, it might not be a homerun combo to you but I’m sure it will be to someone. Maybe not tomorrow or next month but I have seen a recent increase in recognition from American collectors; which is what we should’ve mentioned.

NR cards sell in Japan for lower prices because well, they’re just cards to some people. It takes an American to capitalize an obscurity which is what is happening as we speak. Don’t forget the 20th Anniversary just reintroduce thousands if not millions of people to Pokémon again. The spectrum of interest is going to vastly expand. For example, before this forum I only knew 1st Edition was best, but reading, researching and learning about NR cards focused my interest mainly to them.

I noticed that the banned cards have no rarity as well such as Misty Tears and Sabrina’s Gaze. What else has no rarity?

  • Base set has no rarity
  • Some of the Gym Heroes and Gym Challenge have no rarities (not all though)
  • The early Glossy Promos are no rarities (Surfing Pikachu, Flying Pikachu, Pikachu SNAP (both the SNAP photo contest and regular one), etc.)
  • The three starter evolutions (Chikorita through Feraligatr) of the Neo Genesis set have a no rarity special release

Probably more, but those I can name out of the top of my head.

There’s a lot of cards without rarity symbols, but Base set is the only set that it’s valuable in. The Misty’s Tears and Sabrina’s Gaze had their cards released without rarity symbols because the Gym cards found in deck boxes didn’t have rarity symbols, and it never changed.
