Price Check: Burned Tower

Hello all! Earlier this year I picked up a minty raw Burned Tower around $1,200. Since PSA was on hold, figured I’d shoot my shot for a black label, I missed but still got a 9.5 overall. My question is two-pronged; should I cross grade this to a PSA 10 or keep as is. Also, with so little recent sales, what are opinions on price? The only data I can provide on this specific card is that I received multiple offers in the $3,000 range when I listed it on eBay. Thanks

Hey there! The last copy in a 10 that looks like it was publicly sold was this one with a price of $6000. www.ebay.com/itm/184849234956?hash=item2b09df7c0c:g:wbUAAOSwRb5gqAo4 . I’m a little wary of this price because it was so far off the last one that was sold, but I also still believe it is legit. The last sold graded copy looks like this CGC 9 a few weeks ago: www.ebay.com/itm/224448554444?hash=item34422d25cc:g:xOwAAOSwJRJhCAbr . If we were to take these two recent sales into consideration, I think the 10 price is maybe a little high, but total legit. As for the PC, I’d probably say somewhere around 4.5-5k.5+? Two 10’s on a BGS 9.5 is sweet and I think you shouldn’t sell yourself too far under the psa 10. IMO, I would cross grade it just because I only own psa, but thats 100% a personal preference and I might add some bgs to my collection soon.

Crossing it is probably what I’m leaning towards most. I don’t really see myself selling, more so looking to gauge value for the purpose of a large trade I’m trying to pull off later this year.

I would absolutely crack and slab with psa. Even if you shell out a couple hundred bucks you’ll be adding a few grand in value.

@chrisb Ehh, it would be $600 to cross it with the new grading prices. That is my main hesitation. Pay that and it still gets. 9 or something funky.

If you have 10 on corners and 10 on surface, you’ll prob have 10 on edges with psa also. My guess is it’d be a 10 overall which would be a nice payoff. Yes, there is always the chance that you could get a 9, but it’s not a high chance. It’s a pretty low chance.
