UPDATE 22/9/25 - Priority booking interest list and FAQs now on the museum website!
BIG NEWS!
Pokémon UK have announced a collab with the Natural History Museum, running from January 26th through to March 22nd 2026.
A special pop-up store (not a full “Pokémon Center”) will be inside the museum selling exclusive merchandise like the pictured Pikachu plush, clothing, accessories and other items inspired by the famous London museum.
Entry to the store requires tickets which will go on sale on the museum’s website from October 1st 2025. All profits from the store will go to the museum charity which is a nice touch.
It’s also EXTREMELY UNLIKELY after what happened with Van Gogh X Pokémon that there will be any exclusive TCG promo cards. Especially after the Fossil Museum Japan (soon to also visit Chicago) didn’t get them.
From Serebii’s website:
*”A special collaboration was held between the Natural History Museum in London, England and Pokémon to help celebrate Pokémon’s 30th anniversary. This allowed for Pokémon to take over the Cranbourne Boutique in the museum for a special museum focused pop-up store. Entry required a ticket with tickets available from October 1st 2025
”In the pop-up store, there was a variety of special Pokémon merchandise created exclusive for the museum including clothing, accessories, prints and exclusive plush. Some items will be available on Pokémon Center UK website and others on the Natural History Museum website. All profits from the pop-up store and Natural History Museum store will go towards the museum’s charitable mission to find solutions to the planetary emergency”*
DINOSAURS. And big animal sections, insects and fish basically. We’ve been a few times and it’s always good fun. There’s stuff about evolution (fitting) and the planet.
Blue whale skeleton in the foyer and the first Archaeopteryx specimen ever found is also housed there. And the most complete Stegosaurus skeleton.
Cocoon building inside the Darwin center part of the museum (a building in a building). You start from the top and have to make your way down through exhibits/booths
What’s even neater is that this museum is part of a sort of “museum belt” and within walking distance to 2 other awesome musuems (V&A and Science museums)
Couldn’t pick a date before they all disappeared. A little frustrating as the “there will be a van gogh promo!” crowd will have booked it up and won’t go once it’s confirmed there is no promo.
Hopefully it gets extended a little. Was wanting an excuse to take my son on his first short flight
