I decided to try and keep track of all the postcard releases for the year! They are a great alternative to purchasing cards in this market, and have unique art and distribution.
If anyone wants to provide better scans and additional info (artist credits!!!) until I have the items in hand I’d be very appreciative. I hope to get most of these myself which I will scan and upload in better quality.
Pokemon Centre Desk Calendar
Even though this came out in late 2024, it is a calendar for the 2025 year. The calendar images are perforated and can be removed to use as postcards.
Pokemon Masters EX
Four postcards available from February to March given out with the purchase of Pokemon Masters EX products at Animate stores in Japan.
(I had to pull these images from Mercari if anyone can provide better, please help)
Looks like there was one more that was released recently. This was distributed at the Anime Japan 2025 festival and seems to have been given out to people who visited the booth on March 22nd.
This set of postcards came out a few days ago. It includes five postcards and a little stand to show off your favorite. Several Eeveelutions in the postcards as well.
As a big fan of Pokémon Local Acts, I’m very excited for these. They came out this week for the Local Acts Product Fair.
There are 15 postcards that were released for the fair and the fair will be open from April 24th - May 6th. Wasn’t able to find an official image showing all the posctards, but did find a seller on Mercari that has all of them.
Two more postcards came out this week. These are exclusive to the Pokémon x Kogei collaboration and will only be available at the Matsuzakaya Art Museum from April 26 - June 15.
A new Pokémon-themed washi postcard featuring Sandshrew and Alolan Sandshrew was released on March 2, 2024, exclusively at the Tottori Sand Dunes Visitor Center. Made using Chigaya grass fibers to support local conservation, the postcard is part of a collaboration with The Pokémon Company. A matching craft version was also launched on March 9, along with a special postmark event. Source
On a separate note, I did reach out to the Sand Dunes Visitor Center to check availability. They are still available, but can only be bought in person. If anyone has a contact in Tottori or nearby that could help me acquire these, I would owe you one
I’ll let you know, but so far, haven’t been able to find anyone that can help. I’ve reached out to random people/shops all over social media, but haven’t had any luck. My friend might be going to Tottori later this year, so if they’re in stock when he’s there, I’ll see if he can help us out.
I’m actually early on a release for once haha. Shogakukan is releasing a book titled Pokécology on June 18th. And yes, I already pre-ordered the book once I saw the adorable Corsola art on the front cover.
