Your Latest Postcard Purchase!

Yes, this is absolutely copying the ‘what’s your most recent purchase?’ thread.

But I rarely ever see postcards there! It makes me wonder if there are some postcard collectors lurking in the shadows.

This doesn’t have to be your most recent purchase, just any Pokemon postcards you recently bought or postcards you want to show off from your collection.

And it’ll be a great spot for people to talk about the art on these bad boys!

As well! Since certain postcards tend to be extremely difficult to find, this could be a great place for sourcing a grail or something like that.

Just post a picture and whatever you’d like as a caption!

I’ll go first!

These are the Tottori Sand Dunes postcards. I saw these thanks to @Captain_Corsola and managed to actually find someone to buy them for me.

You can only get them if you go in person and it’s apparently a decently rural part of Japan.

The one at the top left is actually two pieces and came in that nice bag.

I could only get one of the ones at the top right because it apparently takes them 20 minutes to make it (which they do when you ask for one). It uses sand from the sand dunes and it’s just a tad bit messy.

It took a pretty penny to get these!

Beautiful :face_holding_back_tears:

I’m glad someone was able to get these and get some good photos. Thank you for sharing!

Got these last week. I don’t know much besides them being given out by ANA and they are also some of the rarer postcards featuring Corsola.

Another Hoppip one to keep an eye out for! The postcards look great!

I don’t know if you ever got the Tottori Sand Dune postcard, but if you weren’t looking to pick up the one with the actual sand, someone on Ebay has put up the other for sale:

(or if anyone else is interested in picking one up)

I don’t, unfortunately, I couldn’t find any artist information on the back either.

@lordnickle helped me out already for getting one, which is great, because looks like those sold before I took a look

PSA’s cases for the long postcards seem to fit better than their cases for the usual 4x6 postcards. Very nice!

This is the only semi-recent post card I’ve added to my non-TCG Seviper collection:

But since I don’t have too many post cards in my collection to begin with, here are all of the ones I own:

1) In my non-TCG Seviper collection:

I collect anything and everything that features a Seviper, including post cards.

2) Pikachu collection:

I collect Pikachu cameos only for Jumbo cards, which includes this post card card.

3) Regular Pokémon collection:

I went to the Van Gogh Museum during the Pokémon exhibit. The Van Gogh Pikachu promos were already gone, but I still enjoyed it, since it was my first time visiting the museum. I was able to buy 5 out of 6 of the post cards above in the museum shop itself, and bought the remaining one about a year later when I came across it cheap (which was the Eevee).

That postcard where Pikachu and Meowth are standing back to back is really cool! Do you know what’s up with the two different variants?

That artwork is used with a lot of different Dancing Secret Base stuff. As for these two different versions:
The one on the left is from 2003, around the time the Jirachi movie with Dancing Secret Base short was released. Here is the back of that one:

And the one on the right is from 2007, to celebrate the 10th anniversary. Here is the back of that one:

And here are some other products using that same DSB artwork

DVD:

Holo card 2003:

There is also a holo card from 2004 that I’m still missing. The front is exactly the same, but the copyright info on the back differs slightly. (If anyone sees this card for sale anywhere for a semi-reasonable price - e.g. <75USD, lmk.)

Poster:

Yoshikawa Choji Shogakukan Productions book:

Pokémon Adventure Cards (I don’t have the full artwork, only the cards featuring Seviper on either the front and/or back):

Awesome! I added the listing to my watchlist sometime recently and just saw that all three in stock (at time of posting) sold out after I woke up  Looks like the seller is adding more stock though, so hopefully, those that want one can pick it up.
