I feel the same, as I enjoyed Pokémon Go for a while but eventually got bored with it and quit playing. Since I am more of a console player, I think this game will hold my interest a lot better and will perhaps incorporate the best of both worlds! (I hope anyway)
Has there been any discussion around transferring Pokemon from Pokemon Go into the new switch games? And if so, are these killer GO! players going to have a big head start on everybody in terms of competitive play on the Switch?
No they won’t- if you transfer a 'mon into the game the IV’s will change + any high level 'mon will barely be catchable if you don’t have the same level in the game- so it’s gonna be a grind anyway.
Shigeru Ohmori (Game Freak director) did state that they are treating USUM as the “culmination of [their] work on the 3DS system,” and that USUM pushed the 3DS to its limits and was the absolute most they could get out of the system. I suppose that is not the exact same thing as saying that USUM are the last Pokemon games on the 3DS, but it has been interpreted that way.
I saw that my card was just charged for the system + let’s GO Pikachu bundle that I pre ordered. Excited for this and I had forgotten about the exact release so it’s a pleasant surprise.
I preordered mine from a store where my sister works at but I won’t get it for the release date as their distributor will ship the the systems to stores on release date. So I have to wait a little bit longer to get my system and the game. But I have Spyro Reignited Trilogy to entertain me meanwhile so I have no problem waiting
I’m counting down the hours. This isn’t exactly the game I had hoped for, but it’s nostalgic as fuck and the updated graphics make this an absolute must.
I think there is still a lot of angst about the wild encounters, but I still think it’s going to be a blast!!
I am having a hard time picking which game to start first though =\
