Pokémon Switch

I remember Pikachu not being able to evolve but I’m not confident on Eevee

I feel the same, as I enjoyed Pokémon Go for a while but eventually got bored with it and quit playing. Since I am more of a console player, I think this game will hold my interest a lot better and will perhaps incorporate the best of both worlds! (I hope anyway)

Has there been any discussion around transferring Pokemon from Pokemon Go into the new switch games? And if so, are these killer GO! players going to have a big head start on everybody in terms of competitive play on the Switch?

No they won’t- if you transfer a 'mon into the game the IV’s will change + any high level 'mon will barely be catchable if you don’t have the same level in the game- so it’s gonna be a grind anyway.

As someone who was introduced to pokemon via pokemon go I’m very excited for this, I even got the cash set aside for the game and the switch.

I’m curious if they will eventually have switch tournaments like they do for the other video games. Only time will tell.

Are they going to make a normal Pokémon game for the switch? Like ultra sun and moon style game?

Yes but next year!

So no more games for the DS? I’ll have to buy a switch? Will Pokémon from DS be able to transfer through pokebank to switch? Thanks

I don’t think it’s officially confirmed, but there is high chances that Ultra Sun and Moon is the last game on the 3DS.

It should transfer through, but once again it’s unconfirmed because the game doesn’t even have a title yet.

Shigeru Ohmori (Game Freak director) did state that they are treating USUM as the “culmination of [their] work on the 3DS system,” and that USUM pushed the 3DS to its limits and was the absolute most they could get out of the system. I suppose that is not the exact same thing as saying that USUM are the last Pokemon games on the 3DS, but it has been interpreted that way.

I read that article too, but until there is direct confirmation, I don’t want zacheggers to shell out $300 and then be wrong about it

Reviving since its coming out this Friday!

Anyone picking it up upon release or waiting it out for full reviews?

It’s getting too cold out for pokemon go in my region, and since i pre-ordered the game for like 37$ + tax, why not!

I saw that my card was just charged for the system + let’s GO Pikachu bundle that I pre ordered. Excited for this and I had forgotten about the exact release so it’s a pleasant surprise.

Awesome! Also preorderded this summer, hopefully i’ll get an early play this weekend- its gonna get cold here, great gamingWeather

I preordered mine from a store where my sister works at but I won’t get it for the release date as their distributor will ship the the systems to stores on release date. So I have to wait a little bit longer to get my system and the game. But I have Spyro Reignited Trilogy to entertain me meanwhile so I have no problem waiting

I’m counting down the hours. This isn’t exactly the game I had hoped for, but it’s nostalgic as fuck and the updated graphics make this an absolute must.

I think there is still a lot of angst about the wild encounters, but I still think it’s going to be a blast!!

I am having a hard time picking which game to start first though =\

Only 60 hours to go!
