There was a wonderful musician from Madagascar by the name of Rakoto Frah. He was considered a national treasure, and he also found international acclaim among fans of world music. Yet like so many musicians, he lived in abject poverty most of his life.

At one point in his career, he was so revered by the people of Madagascar, the government issued a banknote featuring Frah’s portrait. It is said that Frah was so poor at the time, he didn’t have even one of the banknotes to his name.

I had the great privilege of seeing him perform a few years before he died in 2001.

Found this on Reddit; apparently Masuda tweeted something Sun/Moon related about a week ago. It was translated as saying “Even though the sun is still out, the moon is shining big and bright!! The birds are chirping too (laugh)”

He also took a trip to Spain recently, which could be a basis for the new region just like France was for Kalos.

Some more random tidbits and thoughts:

  • What are the chances of this being a WiiU title instead of a 3DS one?

  • Could it be something other than a main series game? Like a Mystery Dungeon type spinoff… or even a TCG expansion?

  • Is this more likely to be a Gen 6.5 or a Gen 7? I can see this set of games starting in a new region and then circling back to Kalos to give us a Pokemon Z / Zygarde storyline. Kind of like how Gen 2 had you going back to Kanto… would be an interesting change of pace. The anime has shown that Zygarde gets power from sunlight, and there is a sundial in Kalos linked to Mega Evolution (a main storyline point now), so there is already some remote connection there.

Tomorrow can’t get here fast enough. :face_with_spiral_eyes:
