The “voice of a generation” always makes me cringe with anything he does. The guy didn’t even write the song. He recorded one song and thinks he is the biggest thing to happen in Pokémon.
Can’t afford a mint card to sign though?
To be fair that’s probably a good thing
It is funny though that the only thing graded is the auto (and of course they’re all 10s) but the price varies based on the card with no regard to condition. The first ed dark zard is 5k but the unlimited dark zard is 2.5k. Quite the premium for a 1st ed stamp on your JP auto
I agree some of his stuff is cringe, but I don’t fault the guy for trying to capitalize off of his best claim to fame in a very difficult industry.
I imagine most people here would do something similar if in the same situation. Maybe not pushing the custom cards onto people as hard, haha
Iirc he was left pretty much empty handed regarding the popularity of the song vs monetary profits so i understand if he’s salty and trying to take as much as he can afterwards. Anyway still a lot of cringy stuff and probably has at least partly himself to blame for contracts made about the payment
Maybe some will disagree with me, and I know PSA has changed how they encase packs these days - but holy hell it makes me cringe to think that people sent their sealed packs to PSA to have them do this to them
That package has like 30 cards in it too. PSA probably crushed them to fit in that abomination of a slab they call.
Whenever I see a vintage pack like this I cry, idk why they changed it,
This thread can be painful to go through, tbh. changed my perspective with pack grading back in the days.
Those are horrible! I literally feel pain for those packs
I can’t even wrap my head around this business decision by PSA. Why would they choose to essentially damage the packs and the cards inside. “Here’s your 10! We bent and crumpled it especially for you! Please send more!”
Glad they came to their senses and did something about this
