Went to the store and finally got a few boxes. I find it funny how the print quality for the cereal promo cards are a lot better than burning shadows pq.
Ugh I’ve been wanting to pick up a set of the holo’s but can’t seem to find them for sale anywhere… seems like most people having the cards don’t ship outside the US. And I kinda don’t really wanna try ordering an ungoldy amount of cereal to be sure I get all 4
I’m in Orlando, FL and I can’t find them anywhere. I hope is not a regional exclusive
@jjnoriega Almost seems it’s regional by type of cereal. All I can find near me is Honey Nut Cheerios. Others have found Lucky Charms and Cinnamon Toast Crunch. Hopefully they’re still pushing them out but who knows…
They’re probably sitting in the back waiting for the existing stock to get bought - in my area it seems like all the General Mills cereal has Spiderman toys in it right now. I’ve checked a few times and they never seem to get depleted at all. Probably because all the other Californians are eating their kale or whatever. Buy some sugary cereal, people!
Yeah I was quite surprised when I walked in today and didn’t see any and let me tell you that checked every single cereal brand… even behind the shelves just to double check that newer boxes weren’t behind.
Got me a box and I’ll be opening it up on youtube soon! Im in the US (Missouri)
Have not found them at the walmarts/targets in the DFW area of Texas. I hope when they stock it here its in the Lucky Charms, not Honey Nut Cheerios.
They in Texas only looked for cinnamon toast crunch. not for others so i’m not sure about them.
Update: drove around town last night and finally found a couple boxes here and there - both Cinnamon Toast Crunch and Honey Nut Cheerios.
They definitely seem to be in high demand - in one instance I saw a few normal boxes in the front, then a large gap where I presume people had already bought up most of the Pokemon ones, with only a couple Pokemon boxes left in the very back. It’s like 1999 all over again.
Not sure how long this promotion will run, but at the moment they’re pretty scarce.
Found them at Walmart in Coco Puffs! Thank goodness I’m not just stuck eating Cinnamon Toast Crunch!
Depends how long General Mills has an agreement with TPCI.
It can be a deal involving a fixed number of cereal boxes, or fixed number of boxes per flavour, or fixed number of cards.
It for sure is no ‘till date’ promotion/deal because TCPI cannot keep presses running just to supply the demand from the cereal boxes.
I am, as a non American, willing to say they on shelves till mid September, unless supply runs out, so all kids got cards to trade in their early weeks of school after summer. Very usual practice in Europe to have some sort of ‘craze’ just end of summer so kids spend their last holiday money in first weeks of school.
Attention Tributes: Publix Supermarkets (located in the Southeastern region of the US, AKA The Bible Belt, AKA Our honorable president Land , AKA Electoral College Nightmare) has the cereal boxes at Buy One Get One FREE!!!
May the odds be eva in your favor!!!
Has anyone following this promotion noticed how irregular the distribution has been? For example last week I couldn’t find them in my area. Then, on Sunday, I went to check again and the Cinnamon Toast Crunch with cards in them were BOGOs at the Publix near by. The following day (Monday), they had new boxes without the Pokémon Promotion but my friend found Cheerios with the cards at the Walmart near by. I feel like they are not distributing all the cereals with the cards to the same location. I also have noticed that one supermarket doesn’t have more than one brand with Pokémon cards at a time.
I’ve found them in multiple various brands at the same store. But distribution is definitely spotty and slow. Most stores that I’ve seen them at or heard of them at only have a single brand. I still havent seen Cheerios, CTC or Lucky Charms by me. Just Honey Nut Cheerios and Coco Puffs so far.
I would guess the distribution is more indicative of local demand for General Mills cereals than it is supply-side targeting. In due time, I’m confident these will truly be everywhere.
I wonder how much cereal is just being thrown out just for these cards =\
I don’t think that’s happening because the booster pack is actually outside of the cereal bag so there is no need to open the cereal bag.
Yeah, I already eat cereal almost every morning, so I’m stocked up for a while. Some friends and family members may get a free box of cereal from me so I don’t get sick of Cinnamon Toast Crunch or Honey Nut Cheerios forever.
Just bought out the 11 boxes they had left at walmart.
I don’t know if they will restock or not, I had to dig through a lot of cheerios to find the pokemon ones.
