Pack Weights Database (post your info here)

Thanks for that info Crypto. I thought this would be a light pack but I wasn’t sure what long stem weights were.

Thank you for all the data . I’ll add it all to the sheet in a moment.

thanks  down the middle on each so it no problems,

any data on neo genesis? Maybe I am not looking at the right place eh

None yet, unfortunately. Not a ton of Neo data in general so far.

I think Neo Genesis is in line with base. I have a few lights at 20.6g. But that’s just a small sample size.

I’m guessing these were randomly acquired packs and not from the same box?

Wow…Charizard and Blastoise? Awesome pulls! Adding to sheet in a moment.

The packs with al the holos were from the same box; the others were not. I made a video of my pulls if you want to check it out. I got the charizard and blastoise in back to back packs . Instagram is Parklandtcg and YouTube is also Parklandtcg

Not a direct contribution to our data, but I recently bought an ex dragon pack that weighed 17.47, which given zorloth’s 17.33 ex pull, seems a bit too heavy and makes me think that maybe there’s also a separate print run of ex dragon with different weights for lights/heavies (or does that fall within an acceptable heavy margin?). Unfortunately, I’m probably not going to open it anytime soon to confirm as it is a bit expensive for me to replace for the sake of data (I got a pair of Latias/Latios pack arts).

Interesting. It’s possible that there could be a heavier print run, but I kind of doubt it. I have ~12 loose EX Dragon packs and none weigh higher than 17.36. If I had to guess, your pack is just on the very high end of the normal heavy range. The typical heavy pack range could be, for instance, 17.35g to 17.45g, and yours and mine could’ve just been at the tail of each end of the range.

Still, we don’t have enough data to conclude this for certain. I totally understand your hesitance to open the pack. Regardless, I appreciate the data point, as it is the heaviest Dragon pack I’ve heard of. If you decide you’d like to sell the pack, I’d be happy to buy it off of you or trade you a light-ish Dragon pack plus $ for it. And then I would take one for the team and open it . If not, that’s totally understandable, too.

I think if it were the Latios pack instead I might have taken you up on it, but having a heavy Latias pack is sort of symbolic in its own way for me haha. Thanks for the offer though!

is 22.50 a normal weight for a team rocket pack?

@modestmudkip, @zorloth, why was the .00 weight deleted? With some of the packs being extremely close in weigh like zorloths .03 tmta pack we should have the .00 grams no?

It was deleted so the data was uniform. Because some sets had a mix of data rounded to the tenth and rounded to the hundredth. So it would’ve been misleading if a set had, for instance, two weights recorded for it: 17.3g and 17.44g. That 17.3g could be 17.34g or it could be 17.25g. It’s not ideal for everything to be rounded like this, but it’s better that everything is rounded in the same way rather than a mix of ways.
