despite having multiple 999+ hour files, I had never found a full odds /8,192 shiny, so i resolved myself to soft reset until i found one, no matter how long it would take.
fortunately, colored pixels bring a similar level of happiness as colored cardboard.

I slowly chipped away at a living dex for years, and now I’ve managed it… My pokemon home is stacked haha.
I’ve also still got my Aura Mew, which I got from toys r us Croydon in 2007 with a friend.
I want to at some point own a copy of every game cib, I’ve got at least 1 of each gen already but I did this with another series I’m a big fan of and enjoy having these things to hand, even if it’s very unlikely I’m going to run through on original hardware anytime soon.
Expand my collection of signed items, sports cards (Boxing, Basketball, Football), cards signed by the actor (Game Of Thrones in particular) and also get the two pokémon games of my childhood sealed and in French (Emerald & Mystery Dungeon Red on GBA).
I built shiny teams of mostly Johto Pokemon on Crystal to use on Stadium 2. I never felt that I was “done” with Gen 2 as a child as the batteries kept dying so I wanted to go all out.
I managed to build several but, thinking I had a little more time than I actually did, I only managed to save some of them in a lv 50-55 Poke Cup team before the battery died. And it’s not even a complete shiny team like the level 100 team I made that had things like Granbull, Tyranitar, Heracross and Slowking on it.
It’s a fun team though with some cool shinies; Belly Drum Poliwhirl, Swords Dance Pinsir, Dunsparce, Mantine etc. Utterly terrible matchup against the masterball Pokemaniac so I try to save up extra chances along the way.
I’d like to complete a legitimate hardcore nuzlocke at some point. I’ve done just a couple nuzlockes (not hardcore) and always ended up backtracking on the rules for an unlucky crit or just not wanting to lose progress.
I’ve recently started playing pokemmo. Just beat Pokemon Black version and I’m playing through Fire Red right now. Plan is to beat the storyline for all available versions (Fire Red, Emerald, Platinum, HGSS, Black/White 1).
I like to collect non-tcg cards. I’m slowly buying meiji prizm cards but mainly low condition. So I have a few graded 6 or lower that I picked up for pretty cheap as well as some moderately played raw copies. Not a huge priority for me, but something I’ll keep my eyes on to try and find cheap copies of over time.
Use the RNG/Cute Charm trick in HGSS and Platinum to do a shiny pokemon only runthrough. This glitch if done correctly allows any female wild Pokemon attracted through cute charm to have an IIRC 20% chance of being shiny. But it’s quite tricky because you need to start your game at exactly the right time on the game clock, and can take a few hours of resetting to get right.
That’s fantastic, so did I! I just got 8 badges in Kanto with Blastoise, Kangaskhan, Alakazam, Vileplume and Aerodactyl so far. I love that you can play both mobile and on pc/laptop. Oh, and I don’t use the Global Trading System. Seems a bit cheap.
As for goals, refrain a bit, sell a bit of my collection off and enjoy the hobby more through videos and games.
My goal that I’m currently working on is completing the Pokedex in every game. Well, not every single game but every release. I completed the Pokedex in Sapphire so I won’t do it in Ruby but if I finish the dex in White version I will also do it in White 2 since they’re technically different games.
My love from Pokémon is pretty VG centric so I probably have more goals in the “Non-TCG” category than within the TCG category.
I am aiming to have every single mainline Pokémon game CIB for DS onwards, and just cartridges for gameboy era. I purchased custom boxes to look like DS cases on Etsy so I can have uniformity in the collection display.
Missing 5 games, which are all mostly heavy hitters: Crystal, Heart gold, White, White 2, Omega Ruby
I am also slowly working away at a shiny living dex in Pokémon HOME to go with my regular living dex, I am about 40% done, but I don’t think I will ever truly finish this goal as I don’t have the patience to shiny hunt for more than my favourite Pokémon these days.
I am also in the middle of a hardcore GenLocke that I slowly work away at, it’s been ongoing for the better part of a year so far. Currently on Gen 3 with no end in sight (hopefully lol)
