Oh I wish this was true.

So do I.

I guess I understand the desire to make a second mystery dungeon game for the 3DS. It made sense with the first one because mystery dungeon games were practically designed and built to be played on the 3D system. But since the first one sucked, I guess this is Nintendo’s attempt to make up for it? Yeah, that sounds right. Hopefully they released this just to say sorry about the first one and then hold everyone over until they release a great game in 2016.

Actually I hope they wait until 2017 for the next great game.

I’d like to see a brand new concept for a spin off game show up in 2016. Even if its as simple as Pokemon Trozie - I just want something different.

But yeah, Pokemon needs to slow its roll. I’ve been preaching this for years. After Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum, I realized they ran out of jewels and gemstones to name their games after. And then what do they do? Go back to colors like Gen 1. But then they realized “Well, we can’t make a Pokemon Orange and Purple” so what do they do? Black and White? Black and White 2? And boom. That’s when everything went to shit. Now we’re stuck in a downward spiral of sequels and remakes. Why? Because Pokemon couldn’t slow down and wait between releasing games.
Imagine if we were just now getting Black and White? THAT WOULD BE GNARLY! The hype would be so much more intense.

But whatever. I’m just gonna stick to my Gameboy Mystery Dungeon games and playing Pokemon Ranger.

Fun Fact: The last main series Pokemon game I played was Pokemon Black, and I think I got to the 2nd gym before I got over it. Haven’t touched a main series game since. But man… Pokemon Ranger… that’s the shit right there

So many series these days are basically doing annual releases so it’s hard to knock Pokemon for doing the same. Also, if BW were just coming out NOW, Nintendo would probably be shitting a brick because the 3DS would have been out for 4 years or so without its best-selling franchise.

But if they really want to make a sequel to something, I’d buy up Snap 2 or Conquest 2 in a hot second…

Pokemon X & Y was a really good game.

They should do a bit more outside of the main games. A Pokemon Snap remake/revival would be quality.

Pokemon Black and White 2 were the last games I would say I extremely enjoyed. They were beautiful games, with a fantastic setting/Pokedex/Story/Post-Game.

X/Y were decent because it was an all new game with new Pokemon/New Mechanics.

OR/AS were quite dissapointing, I didn’t hate them but it’s the first time since Diamond where I have kinda forced myself to finish them.

I do wish that people put more time into expanding the games, rather than putting out more, shorter games. The price hikes are spent advertising and pushing these games constantly when they would be better suited for improving the game itself.

That’s a general statement, though. I like the Pokemon franchise. The games are still drawing people in. They are still working that magic formula. Some different in-franchise game types would be sweet. I can’t get into the regular Pokemon games anymore, but perhaps something different would work better for me. Surely diversifying the types of games put out within the franchise would also help expand the franchise reach. If Pokemon puzzle games were extremely well done, they’d reach people who are interested in puzzle games only. And perhaps those people would buy a plush or a pack of cards as well. Makes sense to me.

Sooner or later I expect an online game with a monthly fee. So instead of you paying $39.95 every year for a game. They charge $3.99 a month for a total of $47.88 a year.

Poor @milhouse :slightly_frowning_face:
I’ll send a sympathy card.

Pokemon does not have a history of being revealed at E3. I am still good…for now.
