I saw some on sale Friday for $80 each. They seriously printed so many of these things, they’re in stock all over the place. I’m sure stores were licking their lips when they first heard about this, now they can’t even get rid of them below MSRP.
So many stores bundled these with absolute garbage early on in order to get people to buy their crap just to get the UPC. RIP to anyone who let their FOMO win out this time.
Brilliant move from the stores that bundled this UPC with another $130 worth of junk at MSRP for a total price of $250.
And they advertised it like they were doing people a favor by not charging over MSRP. They made out quite well from this.

The $80 ones actually sold out, but these have been in stock at $90 for quite a while:
Tcgplayer had about 100 listings between 90-100 over the weekend, those dissappeared so fast lol.
If they weren’t so big to store, and so heavy to ship, it would be a good play to buy at sub $100 and hold for as long as possible.
I think shops will start soon to rip these boxes and sell the part separately. Its hard to sell a product for $100+ (sorry i meant $69+)…

The only issue i have with the over supply is the name if it was simply the charizard collection box or something fine.
But to call it the ultra premium collection when its common and everywhere makes nothing about it premium at all.
This release will sour alot of peoples willingness to preorder in the future because of this and will impact small stores again.
The ultra premium name is for the high price tag of $120. This is the highest “on the shelf” product Pokémon offers. Excluding booster boxes since they were originally not intended for resale sealed.

The UPC is pretty much available everywhere for MSRP, and it is now back up at Pokémon Center. It was sold out for awhile there. Just an FYI in case anyone wanted one.
