Hello, I was poking through my cards getting things eyed out for grading, and I looked a little closer at this Kabutops and realized that it had a spot that looked to be missing foil. I know that there are cards from the fossils set that have a smear. This looks similar, but wayyy lighter. not sure what to make of it. It doesn’t look like there is foil on that area art all. I am unable to remove the marks a well.
Interested to hear what you all think, thanks for the input in advance.
There is a white ink layer between the Holofoil and the color that determines which parts of the card are holo and which are not. It just looks like this layer was excessively printed on this card and the holo is therefore obstructed.
There are other cards similar to this, I’ve seen multiple Jungle Kangaskhan with this over a larger area
