Base Set Charizard Ink Blotch(?) Error(?)

Hello all! Noobie here, stumbled upon this cool little site as I was looking for information. Noticed smpratte here who’s youtube channel I love! LOL anyway I was trying to find out if anyone has ever seen an error like this on a base set charizard? I picked this up in a collection I bought and when I got it I noticed the 2 dark spots in the holo, at first I’m like oh no somehow ink got spilled on it! Until I realized the holo pattern was shining on TOP of it. I searched all across the internet trying to find one similar but couldnt find anything, I dont know what to make of it haha anyone seen anything like it before?

Edit: ugh tried direct posting the pictures here after following the instructions but didnt work  lol

Smpratte is the founder of this site. I guess the only way to tell if that white layer that prevents the holo from showing has a hole in it and the printing ink is on top of it is with magnification. With these pics I can’t really tell.

Most likely the colour ink layers did not transfer from the offset printer roller to the card. The oval shape is pretty characteristic of this type of error.

Here’s a non-holo example:
You can see the white base showing through were no ink was applied, again with the oval shape (but spanning two cards). It’s basically the same as this but on a holo card, instead of seeing white you’ll see the base holo layer
