MEGA Start Deck 100 Battle Collection

As a spiritual successor to 2021’s Start Deck 100, there will be 100 randomised 60-card construction decks containing a library of reprinted cards still in rotation today as well as new J-regulation cards for Standard in 2026. The decks will normally be non-holo (ex included) while some decks will have mirror foil non-ex cards. In addition, there will be a Battle Collection version for the new CoroCiao magazine

Just for information to those looking to grab specific cards from these decks (US ebay specifically).

Based on my experiences finding starter 100 decks in the past, youll want to search heavily for the first 6months of release. After this the bulk and opened decks get posted much less often and prices for sealed will also trend up as the sets move on. If you have funds or can set up a species collector buy group, Id suggest finding a source and cracking at least a few decks to try getting pulls and a mix of the cards. It is almost a complete waste of money since you wont usually recoup deck costs by pulling or selling bulk but it is fun to open, like packs.

I don’t really recall seeing set indices of up to 700+, but if you count in master sets the first set released in Mainland China had:

• 3 subsets which include 627 cards in total
• And every Rare card and below had Reverse Holo copies

So the master set adds up to a whopping 1080 cards and became the known existing largest master set.

However if this new Start Deck 100 also includes Reverse Holo copies of most cards like its predecessor then I would imagine it beating the Chinese set easily.

The Erika deck is very interesting to me from like a product planning perspective. I assume these cards were all supposed to go in heat wave area but were cut and thrown into this deck instead of scrapped altogether.

I’d love to know what else didn’t make it in to the trainer’s sets! These illustrations are especially nice

Do you know how much the deck will retail for or how mich demand there is? The ebay listings are much higher than normal for these style of decks.
