I am so disappointed in this set… Again the same Mega Pokémon being used to showcase the set, again Charizard, again Gardevoir, again Lucario. I know, these create hype and sell product but Gardevoir is just again the damn same game piece it been since XY. They totally dropped the ball on picking Pokémon for the set to promote it. Dragonite and other new Mega Pokémon should have been on the box and the chase cards. Or at least something we have not seen in a while…
Yeah, it’s a callback and I collected (and then abandoned) the old mega full arts but AR/SAR exist now. At least these are their own rarity but it does seem like ARs are being left out yet again from a HCS.
An attack taking up a significant chunk of the card art, no background, costs a bomb- it’s a no from me but if it makes SAR cheaper, then that’s a good thing. Just like MUR. As long as they don’t keep replacing ARs, then I’m all for chase cards I have no interest in making SARs cheaper.
