I’m not going to spoil the set for myself. But thematically, I am happy to see gen 3 get some attention. My friend is a big Ray fan, and so I’m going to be paying close attention. This may be the first set I’ll care about since all the overhype and noise of the modern collecting frenzy. I won’t expect to find packs, but I’ll try to buy singles and at least build a nice looking binder.
Thats a great point. Sometimes I am already soo over the set by the time it releases in English.
Eevee Heroes for example, I completed the set right before Evolving Skies was released. I really didn’t care much for the English set
its more fun. spoilers ruin fun. But I’ve also been MIA for a few months. Things only get ruined when people ruin it in thumbnails for videos, or fail to use spoiler tags on forums when it comes to leaks. Otherwise, I just don’t click on things if I don’t want to see it. At this point its silly not to do worldwide releases for new sets anyhow. This isn’t 1999 anymore. I do like the latitude they give to regions to decide how to do promos the way they want or split cards into sets.
The issue is that TPCi cannot get control of their own facilities/distributors. The entire 30th Celebration set leaked 2 months before its release date. Apparently they are supposed to be holding off on shipping to LGS until release day but still enough got stolen or backdoored to make it around the world - California, UK, Germany, France, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Indonesia, China, Australia.
In the last 5 years I have been following, there has been zero leaks out of Japan until the week of release. On the other hand, TPCi has had at least a dozen leaks or more with the worst one (before the 30th of course) being an actual video of inside a facility with a sheet of Crown Zenith ARs.
I wouldn’t be surprised if the delay is because TPC just doesn’t trust TPCi to keep its house in order. Though it is a double-edged sword, since so much JP product is also backdoored out to China, America and the rest of the world because of that delay.
