Hi! I started collecting again around 2021 with the goal of completing my childhood Base, Jungle, and Fossil sets. It was something I would think about every so often, and it was looking like a now-or-never situation with the way the market was going at the time — and here we are now. This ultimately turned into wanting to have all of the variants from that era (minus errors). I think I have pieced together a nice little collection that is worth sharing. I hope maybe there will be something that you don’t see very often.
I have been working on this “sub-set” collection for close to two years. They are currently my favorite cards to collect and I enjoy the online hunt for cards overseas when the western market has become so pricey. I also like to collect source documentation of these cards, so I pickup any packaging or media that I come across when affordable.
*More of my collection of singles are included in The Binder section.

I think it is obligatory to check out the work of KEI and stagecoach if you have not done so already.
GOTTA Mew
The card that started me down the path of these Japanese-English variants and still my absolute favorite card. My full GOTTA Mew collection post is here.
JR Stamp Rally Meowth
JR Stamp Rally Eevee & Mewtwo
I only collected through Fossil, but I had to sneak in the silver stamp Charmeleon.
If there is any card that I would still like to add to my collection, it would be the 1st edition error Ivy Pikachu. It was an error that I wasn’t considering early on, especially since it was out of my price range when I started this endeavor and even more so now.

Unown
Probably the only non-WotC era set that I sought to collect. I was attracted to the full set being holo.
