Ludkins UK Middleman Service Bankrupt?

Confirmed this worked for me. At this point I just want my 1500+ cards back, graded or not

The scariest part is, they’re not even meant to be “middle man” service anymore. They’re meant to be PSA UK, an official forwarding office for PSA. Their roadmap showed that they were planning to actually open a PSA grading centre in the UK.

Who’d have thought Ludkins would have messed it up even more than GradedGem. At least I’ve got most of my GG subs back so far (just waiting on Feb 2021 now).

Completely agree, the endorsement/re brand is the only reason I sent another submission off whilst still having cards outstanding from 2020.
Even after they changed to PSAUK, the way that they instructed me to submit means that Im still removed from the submission process with PSA.
I have very little way of proving which cards I have sent.
Was the instruction the same for you? To create a submission on the official PSA website but then not to submit it (just print it off) and send to them? I get automated emails from PSA UK stating that the cards have moved through to grading etc, but still not sure that links me directly to the cards.

Unfortunately we are only making a copy of the original spreadsheet, so it’s not the best proof. Hopefully with the Facebook/email messages and PayPal payments, should be enough.

Yeah, unfortunatly i changed email adress ika a year ago. So i don’t have any email conversation left… only thing i havd is the spreadsheet and an email to ludkins that i changed emailadress and their confirmation of that.

Guess now i’ll just have to wait to see what happens…

gets out the popcorn & spicy sauce

What can we expect if its bankrupcy? I mean, they do not own the cards. Surely PSA have to return the cards to their owners

Or will they wholesale the submission to cover Ludkins costs? That will be a huge issue as there is no way I can accept paying thousands in grading fees and losing my cards in the process while waiting 2 years. No matter the distance, I will come and collect

I cant imagine PSA selling off the cards, Nat said they are actively trying to send them back without payment but Barney has refused them.
I think PSA want the cards off their hands and would be happy to return them. The issue is that they are saying they don’t have a way of knowing who to send them back to. I replied to Nat saying that we have shared google documents showing our submission, but i don’t think its enough for them to send the cards out.

I didn’t realize this security setting was in place. It seems overkill so I removed this limitation in case it was impacting anyone else

Some good news at least, PSA President has now publicly confirmed they are looking into it.

Good news hopefully this is over soon. It’s actually stressful when you have your valuable/cherished cards in limbo :disappointed:

Looking at companies House 2/4 companies run by Barney are dissolved.

The latest business venture alpha cards dissolved in Feb 2022. Whilst Anthos One appears to be the parent company of Ludkins.

Companies House has an active proposal to strike off Ludkins due to no papers were submitted back in April 22.

IMO Ludkins/PSA UK is completely gone. I cannot see this ending well for those who sent cards in. Looks like PSA has cards they don’t know who they belong too. Money appears to have disappeared somewhere…

Edit - PSA website no longer lists Ludkins or PSA UK as a PSA dealer.

We need a @RattlePokemon vid!

I get what you are saying. Well, atleast there are the Excel documents. A video with all cards, emails between me and Ludkins throughout the two years aswell as the payment through PayPal. I mean, that should be proof enough. But it’s hard since its probably a huge stack of cards and submissions they’d have to go through. All of this because 1 company makes a big mess about it.

Makes me more angry paying the fees upfront. If there is anything to take from this is that its better not doing business with any business that requires you to pay in full upfront. Most of the time it ends up as a mess

I too had sent cards through PSA UK in July. The communication was good and I had been getting regular update emails on the progress. This has me worried. I’ve emailed PSA with my submission form as luckily for PSA UK submissions we still had to fill out via PSA’s website so they have an order number, my exact cards etc. I’ve asked if they can be posted back to me directly. Hoping others could do the same.

Can anyone explain to me how these companies end up not being able to pay PSA for the submissions if customers are paying for grading upfront?

Is it the adjusted premium PSA gives for cards that end up valuing higher? But in that case, wouldn’t they ask the customer for the adjusted rate?

Grading fees aren’t paid until after the sub is complete. Most likely not having a proper accounting setup in place to manage cash flow and inexperience.
