Lower grade 1st ed or higher grade shadowless

The Shadowless cards seem to be much scarcer

It took a moment to realise we are October 2020 not 2019 :rofl:
$3000 seemed just a tad cheap

Mega congratulations that’s a fantastic achievement! You must be really proud of your collection!
The 1st ed/shadowless cards do look amazing!

I’ve got a nice start with Unlimted 9s (3 starters) and wondering if it’s worth completing the holo set whilst they’re are in the $200- $400 range before the price runs away further.

@sherbert13 you lucky doll you! I’m close, but annoyed my Zard came back as a 6 a few months ago. Trying to get that 7.

Thank you

Yeah if I started collecting now I think my goal would be to go after unlimited base or shadowless holo’s in a 9. To me the shadowless holo’s (apart from the big 3) still seem undervalued.

Think I’d be happy with a 6 in the current market, just owning the card is a massive achievement for many

Anyone would be crazy to spend the same money on a psa9 shadowless as you would a psa2 1st edition. Condition for the same cards are overrated. Stamp is everything.

Never understood why people pay more for a better condition shadowless than a 1st ed, they feel better with themselves staring at a higher grade, idk, idc

I know, it just doesn’t come close to making any sense.

I dont want to stare at scratched up, creased cards. Would much rather have a “prettier”/Mintier version of a card than one put through the laundry with a stamp.

But the stamp… the stamp. Anybody who says its the same print run and its the exact same card is just pushing revisionist history. Who cares that red cheeks are found in both sets. That supposedly “informed” ppl, and I use that term lightly, say both sets were sold on the same day at launch because its the same printing. These people are dreamers who use fact instead of what they should feel really happened that day pokemon was first released.

You clearly have ulterior motives. I stated a person preference and you went on arguing (again) with yourself. You’re making up the other side… no one said anything about same print run.

Yeah that’s not what revisionist history means, and it is the same printing. Not marked by red cheeks but by the layouts of the card, the dates at the bottom, the saturation, and everything else. I even had a graded first edition charizard that was just a shadowless with a fake stamp that psa fell for and I needed help here to resolve. The stamp can mean as much or as little as someone wants personally, and I’m very happy with both my shadowless and my first edition charizards.

but don’t talk out of your butt.

I’m only playing around a little for the sake of content.

I’m sorry that happened to you regarding the forgery. And yes, I am not being serious and do not have ulterior motives whatsoever than to provide a little content.

Hard to tell with the influx of people, no problem

So you like mortals but can’t stand staring to a GOD

I like shadowless a lot which yes includes 1st ed base as its shadowless but if it’s a different language 1st base I don’t like it at all. So the 1st ed stamp isn’t what does it for me it’s the shadowless and the colors that I love! So I’d rather high grade shadowless than low grade 1st bc the beauty is in the shadowless not just the stamp.
