Looking for Leads: 2000 Korean Base Set 1st Edition PSA 10 Complete Set

Hello everyone,

I’m hoping to find any possible leads on the 2000 Pokémon Korean Base Set 1st Edition complete set in PSA 10 GEM MINT, which was sold through Fanatics Collect in May 2024.

I understand and respect that collector privacy is important, so I am not asking anyone to share private information about the buyer or current owner. If the owner, consignor, or anyone connected to the set is open to discussing a potential sale, I would be grateful if they could contact me privately.

I am a serious buyer and would be willing to make a strong offer if the set is available.

Thank you very much for your time, and I appreciate any help from the community.

I am considering a maximum budget of around $200K.

However, if there is a seller, I think the price may be adjusted up or down after discussion.

I will wait for your update.

Thank you.

Welcome
Heads up, the forum has a rule to add prices to your offers in a want to buy thread (WTB)

Yes, I have edited the post.

Thank you for your advice. Since I just joined, I was not very familiar with the rules.

Thank you

Random thought, but at $200k, you have the potential to buy 4 booster boxes and rip / grade a sequential set. You would end up with 48 holos. The cards usually come out in great shape and condition.

Yes, I thought about that option as well. However, I’d really like to collect a confirmed PSA 10 set. I really hope there’s a seller out there. :sob:

you likely wouldn’t get 10s but this would be the fun way to do it. If I had the money I would do this because it become a really memorable set

Yes, if there are no sellers, I may have to do that as a backup option. But for now, I’ll need to try to find a seller first… :frowning:

Welcome to e4!

You’ve made a very good offer. I don’t own the set, but I wanted to note that it has now been pieced out and sold.

Unfortunately, this is often what happens when a complete set is purchased. I am afraid that you will have to build the set from the ground up. Luckily, the $200,000 budget will stretch pretty far.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. I hope that this gives you clarity with your collecting goals.

For example, see below.

do these seem cheap or… the pop is basically nothing

For those interested, you can see the exact certs of the complete set here.

Ah… Thank you for your reply.

So I’ll have to collect them one by one then… Still, I think I should wait and see if another seller appears.

I would be shocked if someone had a complete set currently. There are several pop 1, pop 2, and pop 3 PSA 10 cards from Korean Base Set 1st Edition. Part of the problem is that some have total pops in the single digits, suggesting that people just haven’t graded many of the cards yet.

Best of luck!
