Japanese No Rarity Price Discussion

We only have personal anecdotes/testimonials and whatnot for both sides of the claims so far. The issue, and what is driving this price speculation is that nobody has come forward to physically prove or disprove the contents of the pack.

A filmed opening of one of the short packs would help so much.

We’ll find it all out eventually, 2016 will be a year!

I’ve asked the person to join, but they haven’t yet. So I asked if I could screenshot our conversation, and he agreed;

HEY!!! WHATS THAT!

The guy has a Japanese Base short top boosterbox. Just wait for the pictures to load.

Aaand that would be that, as far as I’m concerned there’s no way I would ever purchase a short top pack for much more than a long based on the fact it may not contain no rarity cards and therefore the only extra value is in the pack being sealed being as short tops are factually more rare than long tops based on how many we see of one versus the other.

For the love of pokemon … I will be getting that pack off darkrai if its still there in the future after I’m out of debt. My offer price will be the highest and I’m going to put it on my YouTube channel.
I was talking to the guy today who had it up there for 30kusd… I tried a billion thingies to get him to open one for me, and told him if buy it if there no rarity was in it, but hed have to give me ages to get the money… Not 30k though, that’s redicies… Anyway he ain’t gonna do it, but I told him I’m going to buy that pack on ebay and show the world on my YouTube channel. He said, that still won’t mean there ain’t or are no Raritan’s on his packs… So I guess we will never know which boxes have dem bad bois… I would pay a bunch if I had it for a box that actually had them in der, but everyone’s a dick and won’t open them. The dude who I talked to told me he got it off ebay, and they didn’t even realise the difference… So he probably got it for like 500 bucks, yet the he won’t open it… It drives me mad. I would open the whole thing on camera if I got it off someone the way he did.

What the hell is wrong with these people who open these short packs… We live in the information age… Last time I checked every person on the planet has a phone with a 1080p camera… You think if you know about the boxes that you would film that shit… But no everyone that comes forward with info didn’t film it. I’m going to go crazy and throw things at that person oz enigma…

Mate, Jesse confirms that there is no current link between short pack or short boxes and no rarity cards.

Don’t waste your money.

Jesse should have filmed it because now I have to throw things at him.
XD … This kind of puts a downer on the aspect of getting one of these boxes for myself… I really wanted to open no Raritan’s :slightly_frowning_face:

It’s not a downer, in fact you should feel relief. Relief you won’t pay a premium for things that just simply can’t be proven and are proven almost to be the opposite.

This info makes these cards even more appealing rarity wise. The challenge be endless!

1080p? When I was little we had to ring our town operators who would place our calls lol. The phone below is identical to ours with the crank on the side;)

Just take a look at the beastly features and portability of that thing.

And there is no serial number. Misprint. Basically no rarity.

Look at dem paint job

Man I had the VEN and Gyarados seperated into 2 packages so I could still have good insurance on them, but AI just read this and didnt realise they do this shit! FFS… I thought packages seperate meant they cant touch the package that is under threshold:

However when there are multiple packages sent to the same addressee in Australia from a single consignor overseas and they arrive at about the same time, then the value of all packages will be combined for duty and tax assessment purposes.

For goods imported that are worth more than AU$1000, you will have to pay duty.
