Is it normal for PSA labels to be wavy

Noticed this on a few PSA cards. Is it damp or are the PSA labels just generally slightly wavy?

Yes it’s completely normal. The material inside that they make the label from is actually a sticker which is folded in half.

It’s more akin to plastic than paper (more so for the newer type labels) which means if it’s not folded properly, you’ll get a wavey effect on the label.

Wow! Really? This is a completely new info for me… and here I was filling my drawers with silica desiccant thinking the waving was moisture getting inside

Yes, a few of my cards are like that. It kinda bothers me. With prices per card going up hopefully they apply some of that to improve their labeling!
