Is Champion's Path The Next Hidden Fates?

This ^

Shiny star v will likely be the next hidden fate esk set. If they are planning to do shiny versions of the V cards in the same way as V charizard, I am hoping for shiny V Cursola. Favorite Pokemon from the new gen and would be be all white+black card. Would look slick.

Question is, if this is this the Charizard from Shiny Star V, then won’t the English version of the shiny set be lacking a zard??

Would be a welcome change imo but could “hurt” the set and wouldn’t be as good as Hidden Fates. Well, unless they start to make some sweet shiny vmax cards…

I’m hoping for a blastoise and venusaur.

I think this point is pretty much unanimous. The problem is hyper vmax zard would have been enough to make the set successful. The addition of the shiny FA zard just solidifies its success. Sure it would have been great if they added the gold tag team cards and would have made it close to as good as hidden fates, but that would have been a stretch to add GX cards to SwSH set.

is that shiny FA zard considered a gold card since it is the 2nd to last card in the order, right next to the only actual gold card?

yeah, it seems the rest of the line up is pretty weak, BUT each pack does come with a holo with is neat.

Joining the chorus here, the Shiny FA Charizard V looks very good. Probably my favorite Shiny Charizard Artwork after the Gold Star one

Lol Pokémon going full blown Salesman mode in their ETB Booklets :joy:. The herd will be going hard for this. Good luck everyone.

Im not super up to date with modern but sounds like a bit of a self fulfilling prophecy?
People see profit on zards, people buy more sets with zards in it for more profit, TPC prints more zards?
Always comes back to money which is a shame. You would think naturally the more zards that keep getting pumped out everywhere would lead to a dilution as it’s all over the place, doesn’t seem to be the case unfortunately.

The limited number of cards in the set is what makes it very appealing to me. The last modern set I went after was Unbroken Bonds which had something like 512 cards to collect, this one only has 80. I don’t care about the Charizard all that much, but the enjoyment I imagine I’ll get from opening packs is what will make this set much more appealing than Hidden Fates was.

I am not much of a collector , especially Charizard, but I think these Charizard look really good, espicallly the promo one, which looks like it has the same background as mew ex full art from dragon exalted which I have and adore as it looks good to me. Shiny version is not bad same picture but shiny and different background. And not too keen on the v max I think it’s beacuse he is fat although unique.

i would think 2 desirable charizards (shiny v and vmax sr) would be on par with the shiny pokemons and rainbow charizard from hidden fates, especially if the pull rate for the shiny v is like 1 per 10-15 ETBs. charizard is just that desirable.
if they had made the promo v also a secret rare or ultra rare, then i would actually believe this set would surpass hidden fates. the shiny from HF is very easy to pull, and most of those pokemons are not even very popular.

has any one of the box openings on youtube opened a shiny v or rainbow vmax charizard? i watched like 5 etb openings and none so far.

i think the vmax and charizard v BOTH look better than HF charizard gx.

Thing is hidden fates has many cards over the $100 value in psa 10 Pretty much all the gold cards, all the eeveelutions, Cynthia,SV49, a hand full of other#. Even some baby shinings are over $100 in psa 10.
This set will have 2 zards over $100 and what else?

And Rainbow Drednaw and Rainbow Gardevor but I doubt anyone will give a shit about those. Besides that what some trainers? Or regular V cards…?

i think 1 good charizard can match all those shiny/gx eeveelutions, tapu gold cards, mewtwo gx, cynthia, and you name it. basically, i am willing to make a bet there are just as many people who like a charizard as all those other pokemons mentioned combined.

I wonder which one will sell for more though… RR Charizard or Shiny Charizard?

that shiny zard looks wack

all ETB opening I have ever seen the pulls have been rubbish, even hidden fates compaired to tins.
