I knew it was Kadabra, just didn’t knew which one.
If I remember correctly, the Japanese Dark Kadabra directly translates to ‘Bad Uri Geller’, so I kinda understand why he was upset:D
I would love to own a base set 1st ed abra, signed by arita in japanese with an abra face drawn on it too
(if anybody ever gets the chance to meet and have cards signed by him, i’ll pay a pretty penny for it!)

If I remember correctly, the Japanese Dark Kadabra directly translates to ‘Bad Uri Geller’, so I kinda understand why he was upset:D
In November 2000, Geller sued video game company Nintendo for £60 million over the Pokémon species “Yungerer”, localized in English as “Kadabra”, which he claimed was an unauthorized appropriation of his identity.[95][96] The Pokémon in question has psychic abilities and carries a bent spoon. Geller also claimed that the star on Kadabra’s forehead and the lightning patterns on its abdomen are symbolisms popular with the Waffen SS of Nazi Germany.[96] The katakana for the character’s name, ユンゲラー, is visually similar to the transliteration of Geller’s own name into Japanese (ユリゲラー). He is quoted as saying: “Nintendo turned me into an evil, occult Pokémon character. Nintendo stole my identity by using my name and my signature image.”[96] As of 2008 the situation was still ongoing. Pokémon anime director and storyboard artist Masamitsu Hidaka confirmed in an interview that Kadabra would not be used on a Pokémon Trading Card until an agreement was reached on the case. As of 2018, the agreement has not been reached and the last Kadabra card released was in the Skyridge e-Reader set (2002/2003).[97]
Nothing in the Copyright Claim info But… It would be cool to try it

Wow had never noticed the insignia on kadabra before. Wild.
A Wayne Gretzky rookie card signed by Babe Ruth.
Dream big or go home.
I would have Noriko Takiya and Shinji Higuchi sign my suicune and raikou legend set.
If I have to choose one, I would like to have a Japanese No Rarity Base Pikachu signed by Ikue Ōtani.

I would love to get one of these squirtle cards signed by Atsuko Nishido
Absolutely love her illustration of this card.
I’d really love to get my Japanese Gold Star Latias signed by Masakazu Fukuda. I’d crack it out of its PSA case for that (and I guess promptly re-encase it once signed…)
I’ve already got mine! My favourite card as a kid, signed and dedicated to me by the Artist. Following that though, the only cards I still would really want signed (apart from my current stack) are probably a GS Mew and a Shining Zard. Fat chance of getting one of those, but the grail hunt will continue
