I never really was a big fan of Charizard. Always started the games with Squirtle or Bulbasaur. Also in the tv series, those two were my favourites over Charizard. So I donāt have that connection with the red-no-a-dragon.
Card wise; I did just a tier-list on art. I just dislike all full arts, not just Charizard. They arenāt special and usually the art for them is just sub par. The C-tier are the only ones I do like. Detective Pikachu one is in there just because the art is not good enough to be higher (I donāt like the style they went for for Charizard). Obviously, the A-tier are the arts I like the most, and sorry to say base Zard isnāt a-tier art
Even without the explanation, your opinion is legit (as is everyoneās tier lists). I have always been a big squirtle fan. I like Charizard alright, but it certainly isnāt my favorite Pokemon or starter either.
Also, I liked the Detective Pikachu and I found the pokemon designs good for the movie, but terrible for card art. Full art cards also donāt thrill me too much. They are either too simple or too busy. I find many ultra rares/hyper rares to be this way in modern.
My name is Adam and Iām a 20 year old guy in Sweden.
Recently Iāve been going through my old binders from when I was a kid and stumbled upon some cards I quickly understood is pretty rare. The one Iām thinking about is the second Charizard card you put in S tier.
I really need help putting a pricetag on some of my cards.
Please feel free to contact me on instagram since I wont be active here.
I do not use instagram. E4 has a significant collection of Pokemon experts, however, so if you want any help, being active here will benefit you.
I believe youāre talking about the EX Dragon secret rare Charizard. Pricing for this card will vary significantly based on condition. If your card has been well-preserved and is in near mint condition, it may go for around $200-250. Lesser condition copies (with creases, corner and edge wear, etc.) will sell for around $100-150.
Do you guys feel like the use of the dragon art for the promo kinda hurt itās value? Itās pretty scarce and itās an ereader and e4 voted it the best ex Holo, but itās nothing outstanding in value. The promo is all I can imagine hurts its value
I donāt know but two other factors to consider are that it just looks like a regular holo and also the first impression of the art is confusing because the lighting and perspective is so weird.
I canāt help but feel like if it really was a popular card artwork then the number of reprints are irrelevant. Similar to base charizord and university magikarp/ web series community college magikarp
