It’s so unfortunate this happened, especially when it’s one of your favorite cards that you’ve been chasing. It really makes a dream turn into a nightmare.
Since your running out of options, legal action might be the best way to go for this situation. How long have been chasing this card for?
Thank you for the insight. To answer a few points:
For the delivery PSA never received it, due to miscommunication in an initial email they stated they’re investigating package opening logs, but that never actually existed because the package was never received and was clarified by the director of psa vault. GIJO is the signed name when I check the tracking on FedEx and was most likely the person who got it due to FedEx misdelivery,
I told heritage this and they responded they cannot reimburse me since I signed a Drop Ship form that heritage will no longer take liability if I gave them the wrong address or delivery was successful to the recipient address but neither occurred since a misdelivery happened. They still won’t even check fedex or anything regarding this issue and the issue is in a higher chain internally which is out of my friends control.
Idk why heritage won’t check fedex logs or anything, they still haven’t contacted PSA regarding this issue and basically told me I won’t be reimbursed.
I just filed a BBB report and have a police report open
, my friend is still looking into this internally, and I should be getting a response from heritage today since my friend pinged the team. As a last resort I’ll go to small claims.
Thank you! I’m a psa 8 collector and I think the only one available now is the one on fanatics. I think Cynthia only has 3 psa 8 and mine is lost, the other one is on fanatics, and I think @HumanForScale has the 3rd
I believe a key issue in this problem is the signed form with Heritage. (I’ve attached an excerpt from my form from mid-2024 (since I haven‘t had to sign a new one yet, I assume i‘s still valid):
“Additionally, Heritage’s liability is released and shall be concluded upon notice from the common carrier that the package has been delivered to Undersign’s alternative address.”
Since Heritage received confirmation from the carrier that the package was delivered, they consider themselves released from any refund obligation.
I was given that form as well, but I changed my primary shipping address to my vault instead because I did not like the verbiage there.
Heritage has to show that it was delivered to the alternative address, which it seems like it was not if PSA never received it. That leaves Fedex misdelivery as the main possible outcome, which is on Heritage to help investigate.
@triple I will run this situation as a scenario for counsel to the banks (where I work) representative with FedEx since technically they can only assist with our service needs. We have an ongoing contract with them for the last decade and I use them to send my personal items.
I can’t promise anything, but more often than not, I do see signatures on our deliveries and they aren’t employed with the company so that’s an entry point for me.
I’m in Paris and will be back in the office late next week. I’ll message what she tells me over the phone in DM.
It looks like I am not the only one facing this issue with FedEx and PSA Vault and I am assuming tens of thousands if not hundreds of thousands of dollars in precious and rare collectibles may be lost; This is really disheartening news.
Team Rocket is striking :C
Looks like there might be light at the end of the tunnel with PSA starting to take action.
Atleast the label doesn’t say “PSA - expensive cards” but we all know what the label actually says - I will just call it “ET Shipping” I won’t put what it really is here for the thieves to read.
Too bad it wasn’t just a PO Box instead of what it really is. There is probably a black market for names of businesses on the shipping label to keep an eye out for on Fedex and UPS trucks.
If it got a signature, has to be on the end of the process where the driver fake delivery the package. Like others said, if FedEx just look at the driver loggers, they can tell who and where.
