I actually joked about this here Pokémon Conspiracy Theories - #50 by RabidSquirtle a couple days back lol

Yea it’s organized 100%. Several investigations into similar actions find that porch pirates and anyone else that can be sourced to collect mail/packages note that they are not typically the one to sell or hold the items, they are merely sourcing them for others to dispurse through the blackmarket. I’m glad PSA is cooperating now but I would have paid the $50 or whatever it is to file a claim and do the paperwork myself tbh and I would have voiced that directly to Heritage and PSA when this whole thing started.

Seems like a lot of people’s Pokemon cards are suspected of being stolen by FedEx drivers

FedEx just ate someone’s Gamestop submission. These FedEx drivers know exactly what’s being sent to PSA and they’re stealing packages left and right?

They used to just steal iPhones… Maybe pokemon is more lucrative nowadays

I am not familiar with all the nuances they are technically different companies with different deliveries, did you send Fedex Ground or Fedex Express?

I have no idea, Heritage sent it

If Heritage Auctions does not reimburse me by 2/24/25 I am going to Small Claims Court, just got their legal representative info today and documenting/collecting evidence. I was requested not to post any updates on this Forum Post specifically regarding this matter till I get a final resolution, so apologies if there might not be news for a while.

Here is Heritage’s Drop Shipping Agreement and Release, which is signed if/when you choose to send a package to an address different from your home.

What is particularly concerning to me is this sentence:

Heritage shall insure the package under and subject to its normal transit insurance. Heritage is not required to nor shall it purchase additional transit insurance from the common carrier.

Does this imply that Heritage insures its drop-shipped FedEX packages at $100 USD regardless of the price of the item(s)? Or are they suggesting that they will not purchase insurance beyond the item(s)’ auction price? It appears to be purposefully murky.

Another area of concern is this sentence:

Additionally, Heritage’s liability is released and shall be concluded upon notice from the common carrier that the package with has been delivered to Undersigns alternative address.

If FedEX says, “Yep, we delivered it.” Heritage will wipe their hands clean and point to the agreement and release.

I think this will be a difficult case for @triple to win if FedEX is not willing to play ball.

Background

Undersigned has purchased collectibles from Heritage Auctions (“Heritage”). Undersigned has requested that Heritage not ship the collectibles to undersigned address of record but rather to an alternative address selected by the Undersigned and shown below. Heritage is willing to do so, as provided hereafter.

The Undersigned hereby directs Heritage to ship to undersigned’s selected alternative address via Common Carrier. Undersigned shall provide Heritage the undersigned’s alternative address and addressee name for the shipment of the collectibles by Undersigned’ designated common carrier.

Heritage shall insure the package under and subject to its normal transit insurance. Heritage is not required to nor shall it purchase additional transit insurance from the common carrier.

Undersigned releases Heritage, its various affiliated companies and their respective offices, employees and agents from any claim of loss arising from the transit which are caused by undersigned’s errors in verifying undersigned’s alternative address to which the collectibles are to be delivered. Additionally, Heritage’s liability is released and shall be concluded upon notice from the common carrier that the package with has been delivered to Undersigns alternative address.

A facsimile of this Agreement and release shall be valid and enforceable for all purposes.

Dr applesauce just did a video (not related) but it shows that FedEx workers are stealing PSA graded cards. There’s an uncut footage of a person recording from the time of FedEx delivery hand off to him opening it with an empty box. Just something else to be aware of that’s happening. Record your package openings.

FedEx theft is rampant, I am really curious what is going on internally at FedEx right now because it is horrific.
