I have a file with cards above $500 that I opened police reports on in case the certs ever surface. If a card is marked as “delivered” but disappears into thin air, it’s good to have a timely track record. Don’t expect the police to do anything other than file the report but it’s a step one while sorting out any sort of financial liability & hopefully payout.

I tried making a police report and they told me to go to FedEx if its misdelivery :frowning:

In my case, USPS admitted guilt to a wrong address delivery via phone but refused to do as much via email. It was a long drawn out process. Another time it was as simple as being delivered to the correct address but the person claiming it was never received. In both cases once you’ve let the police know you’ve done your due diligence with shipping, they’ll give you the form for filing the item as missing/stolen.

I see, yeah I may wait for FedEx response. Heritage is going to file a claim for me most likely.

Deactivate them, if they show up you can get them reholdered with a new cert number. Or would that affect insurance? Gotta think on that one

I would suggest to deactivate them. PSA will reach out if the new owner inquires about it (just happened to one of my cards).

Another update:

Heritage Auctions claims that FedEx undergone an “investigation” that the collectibles were indeed delivered properly, however PSA claims that it was not and are more than happy to assist if emailed, but apparently at this point neither Heritage or FedEx has contacted PSA regarding this.

Oh yeah I also made a police report now too.

This is a never ending nightmare.

Keep us updated as always. I also don’t think that FedEx wants to be on the hook for this one. This is the literal spiderman pointing me me. Three parties, and you are out here like oh for heaven’s sake! Don’t let this one go, not by a long shot. This needs to be resolved. If nobody wants to take responsibility and pay out for mistakes made, then all that is left is investigations until culpability can be laid down on where the theft occured and then you can recover losses from whichever bussiness had custody when the cynthia’s feelings was stolen. At that point its up to them to internally find the rat who stole it and get them on the hook.

this is rather difficult coz fedex has a signature for it… were you able to get the gps coordinates?

Funny thing about all of this is that fedex knows who drives what routes for what shifts and can directly know who a suspect may be. Might have happened earlier but odd to say the least

It has signature, but PSA stated that the signature on the package was not by any employee of PSA and they have footage to prove it.

I didn’t get GPS coordinates because Heritage is the shipper and I don’t have access atm.

For real, I don’t think FedEx investigated seriously at all, or if they even did.

fun fact. Fed ex has such a vast network of cameras and gps tracking on their vehicles that police departments pay them for that data to build databases for stalking people to know when and where you were based on snapshots of your liscense plate as seen by the fleet of fedex trucks, and use that to track people down with outstanding warrants or prove/disprove a person’s whereabouts. yay cyberpunk dystopia! :smiley_cat:

So uh… yeah, fedex knows exactly where and when the delivery vehicles made any stops and who was driving the vehicle. They also should be able to…ya know, pull the image of the signature for the delivery and see who signed for it and if its potentially a forged signature or just a random squiggle.

yeah the person who owns the fedex account will be able to see a lot of info about the package which is HA but they seem to be very unhelpful in this case

Another Update:

… Heritage has refused to reimburse me and apparently they refuse to even get into contact with FedEx or PSA regarding this situation??? I have made a police report regarding this issue.

A FedEx geo location or even any process to help identify the location of the package would be so helpful, but it is literally nothing.

It is absolutely bs that I am getting punished for collectibles never once going in my hands and is clearly all on Heritage to make the proper communications to FedEx/PSA, but they fail to do so.

It really seems like I have to go the legal route as heritage won’t cooperate with me and since I’m not the shipper I can’t access fedex information, and PSA has footage to prove that their address never received any package from Heritage via FedEx.

This is just shit that they refuse to cooperate. Hang in there buddy and I hope the legal recourse gets you your money back. Must be a pain in the ass to deal with the whole situation.

If you’ve filed a police report and you’ve kept in close contact with Heritage, then you should at least open a dispute/reference number with your credit card as a placeholder so you aren’t timed out with your 60 day window. I’m not saying to just do a charge back, but keeping them in the loop can’t hurt as well so all of your options remain open.
