If you bought the base set expensive orange flying dragon and scratched of yellow paint on the border at the very top tip. What would appear?
A little ink scratched off the top of an ungraded card I just bought exposing a aluminum color foil like layer beneath the yellow. Very small but the shine gives it away
I’m here to see if its real. I heard foil doesn’t go based the border? I could be misstating. Everything seems so legit otherwise
It sounds like you’re describing silvering which is quite common on WOTC holos, but a picture would be helpful. Here is a helpful thread to learn how to do so. www.elitefourum.com/t/how-to-upload-images/24249/1
Youve only shown an incomplete image of the whole front while inside a penny sleeve. To get a better estimation we would need to see the full front as well as the full back with high quality pictures of each. Cards are graded based on every part of it so only showing ~30% of the card makes it impossible to give any estimation sorry mate!!
Assuming the rest of the card is mint, that mark would bring it down to a 6. 7 at best, if you’re lucky. Sometimes corner dings are hard to characterize, in terms of what the grader would call it. But technically that pictured ding is severe enough to be called a bend or dent, and that immediately drops grades down to a 6. Any bend, crease, indent, causes a PSA 6. But I doubt the rest of your card is clean if that kind of damage is on it. I would guess you have a 4-6 on your hands.
All holo cards have a silver holo foil underneath the outer layer FYI.
