I just hope this is not just a decision they made to lower cost of production. Lets hope that the foil patterns in SV also will become identical to the Japanese foils.
As primarily a Pikachu collector, I actually preferred having yellow borders on the English cards for Pikachu at least (matches the colours better). I am so glad that they won’t be ruining cards in English like this again though:

I see all this complaining just a human psychology fight mechanism for change. Some is warranted criticism, but a decent portion of it is "I don’t like it because it is different >:[ "
Give it time and you will see newer people coming into the hobby saying “Wow, those yellow-bordered cards were so ugly, how did anyone collect them?”

Where do you see all this complaining? Did I miss something? Pretty sure there is almost 0 complaining in this thread about the change, unless I missed all of them somehow
Sorry lol, I cross posted this to Facebook and was talking generally to people about change.
I’m hyped for the 3 holos. Felt like I was getting posterized by Shaq every time I bought a pack at full price and came away with a non-holo rare. I actually like the SwSh holos and plan to fill a binder with them. Having 3 in the pack (even if it’s 1 regular and 2 reverse) should make some awesome holos even cheaper!
I like the silver borders especially on Full Arts, but I will miss the unique set symbols. I still plan on purchasing the cards I like.

Good riddance tbh. The yellow works on wotc era cards but it is just doesn’t work well on modern especially trainer galleries/CHRs.

Set symbols don’t mean anything to me. And the silver boarder is what always attracted me to Japanese. Glad yellow is gonna go, it will nice to look back on years from now.
