Wow those are excellent photos! If I had that clarity on the others I could get a better opinion.
Having had a general flick through on ebay on various wotc sets there does appear to be decent variance on position of the stamp although a thorough data set would be needed to know norms from outliers. I didnt check 1st edition base set as i trust scott seeing so many of those during his collecting. Feel free if anyone has the time to do all of wotc lol.
Did team rocket stamp these cards?!!
That’s just The Boss’s Way
Here is another example of a smudged 1st Ed stamp from rocket aswell. I personally pulled this in 2015/16
Love that reply scott ha. What started as a quick pic of an error has…
Those two smudged examples look very much like mine.
Are you able to share a zoomed in image with higher resolution of the stamp?
With this phone its about as good as it gets. Id need a loop like those pics that were posted higher up.
Those photos look clearer. If these are real Rocket had some brutal quality control.
Thanks. I agree and also you can find messy in all sets especially when zooming in…
1st edition base…
We need to get this analyzed under a scope or someone above our pay grade (inside joke from an older post on e4)
Are you referring to this thread?
Ha that is awesome! I was referring to the post by Gary about various TCGs with data points, and the closing statement was “what does all this mean, well that is above my pay grade”
I was thinking about getting a loop but now it appears i need a microscope lol.
Ive absorbed that link. So basically to verify a 1st edition stamp you must compare with all known verified examples for a match or as close to a match as possible. So basically we need a card like mine videoed pulled from a pack but even that could be faked lol. Easy task i see then.
