• cards are listed in chronological order based on first release
• • unless it makes sense otherwise to group them with other cards released at a different time.

"E4's Favorite" Polls - Archive

Overview Why I began doing these polls in December 2023 as a way to see how the community here ranks cards of various Pokemon or types of cards. Sometimes we may have an idea of what is #1, but what might round out the top 10? It’s hard to guess, and we always end up surprised in the end. It is also a great avenue to learn about new cards of Pokemon we may not have seen before. As time goes on and the quantity of these becomes overwhelming, I figured it would be beneficial to have them all g…

I knew the Ralts line had a lot of cards, but damn. First time I felt a favorite’s poll be a bit lengthy.

Aside from that, 10/10 line

I have somewhat mixed feelings about this family. Essentially I view them as a very poor man’s Alakazam line (except Mega Gardevoir which is just…pregnant?)

Integral to the ADV storyline, of course I’ve used Gardevoir a ton like everyone else, some great cards like Sandstorm Ralts and Ruby Sapphire Gardevoir, yada yada. They don’t really do anything for me. Gallade would be a lot cooler if he didn’t swallow that dinner bowl.

First time I felt a favorite’s poll be a bit lengthy.

surprisingly this is not the longest by any means, but yeah there were a lot

i was going to do garde solo, but imo it is better to just get the rest of the line over with. otherwise they’ll be pushed back to who knows when

i kinda wish i did this with gengar as well as dragonite, but oh well. at least ghastly/haunter and tini/nair have enough personality to stand on their own in future polls that would be interesting

Well, I admit that I’m a huge gardevoir line fanboy, but they honestly have a ton of gorgeous artworks.
Their design works well with many art styles in my opinion, but I’m particularly impressed when they’re drawn in a more “flat” or cell-shaded style, like the umemoto, kizuki, or himeno ones.

The ex emerald trio, especially in reverse holo, is my absolute favorite.

Not many cards in the Pokemon TCG make me cringe / frown in disgust, but this is one.

Really enjoyed this poll. Ralts is just a wonderful Pokemon design and has some great artworks. The innocence on the Pokemon just seals it for me.

Well, unpopular opinion but these are all duds. What is this pokemon even supposed to be? I voted for 3 ralts cards and 1 kirlia, that was it. Never understood the gardevoir hype

Ralts is the best of this line, and this is the only line I can think of for now that peaked in gen 5/6, but gen 7 onwards are great as well. Lots of great arts and I might start a ralts collection, such a cool design
