It’s logistically challenging and reduces the potential cross-interactions within the forum community dramatically. It has run better and been more fun since we removed regional pools after the second year. If you get a location that causes you concern, I recommend hooking up with a participant from that region and seeing if they’d help you purchase/ship the gift domestically or stick to smaller items that will reduce your shipping liability.
