To make it short - this seller (not the person in the below screenshot) had a collection for $5,500. I said I’d pay the full $5,500 plus paypal fees and shipping fees. Once we agree, a random instagrammer messages me (see below). Apparently according to the seller, this guy had offered lower than $5,500…and was now mad I paid more.

Some people are just so great for this community lol. Oh, by the way someone else outbid me and bought it. You know what I did? Congratulated the guy on the sale and moved on (as you should always do).

Nobody else is going to appreciate your professionalism at the top? I love that the last message was you issuing your email and that just lit the wildest fire under his ass, haha!

Simp is the new word for cuck or ‘nice guy’ basically a guy who will do anything for a girl to try and get with her but never will. Its often just used as a general insult without meaning though.

I’m glad you followed that up with a full explanation, I’ve not heard either before. People like that used to be referred to as “white knights”. This is why I’m not massively active on E4’s Discord channel when it’s busy, it’s full of words like these and I end up just nodding along not really knowing what’s going on. I guess I’m just not down with the kids any more.

I had a guy message me on eBay recently telling me to go fuck myself because I didn’t accept their offer of £600 on a card I have listed for £1,000. I guess this is just a sign of the times. The silver lining is that I can’t imagine people like this will stay in the hobby for very long.
