SETTING: Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is in the midst of his much-anticipated run for President. In an attempt to drum up support from his conservative base, he has declared that all events held in Florida cannot be “woke” in any way.
Mascots: The only approved mascots by the state of Florida were Gumshoos, Ludicolo, Jynx, and Mr. Rime. We don’t know why.
Restricted Pokemon: This year’s VGC ruleset features a few changes in order to comply with state laws. All Gardevoirs and Lopunnys brought to VGC competition are required to be female. Quaquaval is banned for trying to indoctrinate children into un-Christian lifestyles.
Pikachu Mascot: Pikachu is wearing a Hawaiian shirt, balding, and has returned to his Base Set heft.
Worlds Promo: Overweight and aging Pikachu is joined by a Sandile, Thundurus, and Arbok on Miami Beach.
