Completing a psa 10 no rarity set

So you have one of the 4 No Rarity Zam in PSA 10?:heart_eyes::heart_eyes:

“but it’s not for sale”… :slightly_frowning_face:

Yes I do :+1:t3: If you wanna see it it’s up on my Instagram: pokecollector18 :+1:t3:

Seems like it’s not feasible unless I dial it in down to psa 8/9+

Thanks guys! think I’ll just wait for others to complete theirs and hopefully list it someday

Easily the most difficult set to go after in PSA 10, you can’t just throw money at it like 1st Ed Base since each holo in itself is almost like a trophy-ish card. Also yeah PSA not grading Venusaur and Raichu puts a bit of a dampener on it.

the most beautiful thing is he was right, and he was right when everyone was putting down no rarities - he went against the grain and held firm in his beliefs.

Pretty much every holo is now on par with 1st ed base and just a few years ago they were below shadowless; high graded no rarity charizards has already gotten offers at least equal to 1st ed base zard (the former of which has a strong bgs 9.5 which received multiple six figures)

Amazing :star_struck: if someone can complete the set it’s him :sweat_smile:I tried to get a value of my Alakazam but it’s hard when no, I mean NO holo is selling :joy::sweat_smile:

I bought my alakazam for around $1000 USD but that was like 4+ years ago

Of course it’s possible in theory, but in reality I think it would take many years of patience, and probably some luck. It also may require paying some huge, trophy-like prices for some of the PSA 10 holos which may or may not be a great investment. My current goal with no rarities is “9 or better” copies of all cards. So far this is what I’ve been able to do:

I have a raichu that probably gets an 8 and a venusaur that has a great shot at a 10. But as people have discussed they can’t get graded at PSA which really stinks. The other gaps in my set are cards that haven’t come up for sale since I have been looking. Missing out on a no rarity card or getting outbid really sucks because you don’t know if you’re going to see it again. The non-holo rares are a special pain and seem very scarce in mint condition. I have been buying them raw since graded copies rarely come up.

Collectors that have been at it for a while have debunked my fantasies that there are tons of these cards waiting to be discovered in mint condition in japan as it seems people have been scouring the country for these for quite some time.

All of that said, it’s such a fun set to collect. It feels proper that it should be so rare and hard to find since it’s truly the “Alpha” of Pokemon

^ I agree with all of that.

Possible in theory, but really impossible unless someone just dumps money that they would exceed the true value of the cards/set.

Charizard alone would like be 125k or above. Each holo In PSA 10 would be at least 5-8k I would think. With much more being a possibility.

There are some trainers that are damn near impossible to find.

I have devoted all of my free time at night, combing through Japanese shop websites and inquiring. These are hard as hell to find lol.

Every time I get a response from someone willing to help me. The answer is always the same “I’ll let you know/I’ll run down a few leads, but it won’t be cheap” they are blowing up in Japan.

I’m not even looking for high end grades. I was looking 6-8, and if I can score higher for “cheap” I’ll buy it.

This came up lol. Did a quick check, pop 6 in a 10 according to PSA.

It’s pop 5, one was mislabeled
