Can anyone fill me in on if the 1st machamps came shadowless?
Yeah there were unlimited versions, 1999-2000 unlimited versions like this one, and shadowless versions. All were 1st edition stamped.

It does. But for Base Set, there was the standard ©1999 ones, and then there are ©1999-2000, the latter only being released in Europe iirc, but they were both unlimited.

Sorry unlimited does mean non-1st edition technically. I meant “not shadowless” or “shadowed”
That Machamp is a great looking card!
What is it that makes it special, though? (Sorry, but I know so very little about English-language Pokemon cards.) 
It is sealed and has the 1999-2000 date at the bottom, which is significantly harder to come by than the typical ones.
That packaging is extremely prone to damage. It makes it really hard to come across mint copies of sealed cards like that. Most of the time they’re creased in some way.
And here I always thought the peel-away design for the Japanese Corocoro promo cards was bad! ;D

@japanime: Thankfully, there are no torn corners, but it is crinkled/folded which makes it look chewed. It’s currently under some very heavy books to hopefully straighten it out!

And I’m not sure what a fair price on it is. I honestly got this one for $5 shipped… lol I don’t think the seller realized that it was 4th Print and I won their auction. I did see one that was listed specifically at “1999-2000” and sold for $25 within 2 hours of it being listed.
And I always keep a sharp eye out for these things, so if I see anymore, I’ll be sure to let you guys know!!
